What is Fleet's target market demographic? Is it an old person thing? (AFAIK my grandparents never used enemas either.) In fact, Meade Skelton is the only person on the planet who I know for a fact has received an enema.
The concept of injecting liquid up one's bunghole sounds inherently messy. How does Meade avoid all that shitty liquid draining out and contaminating his floors, legs, clothing, etc? What if he involuntarily tenses up and sprays a high-pressure geyser out of his anus?
Is an enema typically performed whilst standing in the shower? If so, how does one keep the faecal particles from running down your legs or contaminating the bottom of the tub/shower stall? I'd think the only effective disinfecting method would be copious amounts of bleach, but that was not part of Meade's travel kit.

Enema's don't work that way. They are like laxatives. They help someone have an easier time going to the bathroom. You do it in the bathroom and near a toilet in case you have urgency. That only increases the mystery. So I'd think that in order to inject a quantity of saline solution into the bunghole it would be best to be ass-up with all the muscles relaxed. N'est-ce pas? The key trick would seem to be getting the sphincter to seal around the tube, while still allowing the saline solution to flow into the anal cavity. Muscle control would be critical as the pressure from tensing the sphincter could also cause internal muscles to contract and blast the liquid all over creation, like a whale spouting from its blowhole.
So I imagine one would need to lay face down on the bathroom floor, then reach around with the apparatus, jam it home into one's starfish, then pump in the saline solution. Following the injection one would need to lay still for 5 or 10 minutes -- until all hell tries to break loose. At that point one would need to quickly and carefully maneuver onto the toilet to release the pent up saline and dissolved feces. Any involuntary clenching would obviously be disastrous and require calling in a HAZMAT team. Does that sound about right?
