Did anyone find out why he got the boot? It seems it's possible he was asked to perform as an opener and then found out at the last minute (like the day before) that they put someone else in his place. He probably forgot to remove it from his calendar.

I think meade just goes whee there's a crowd and sets up if there's a stage. He plays, unless he gets thrown out. In this case, someone was using the stage, so meade go thrown out

I don't think Meade has ever lost a gig. I think places just quit booking him because of the lackluster performances when he played there before. Meade's delusional ego just refuses to accept that reality so he tells people he has gigs scheduled and there are conflicts and he gets canceled at the last minute.

When Hipsters were gawking at Meade, he was getting gigs at the Camel. When they got tired of him and moved to find some other acts to laugh at his bookings there got farther and farther apart. In fact, his giant 'record release party' in 2012 was done early on a Sunday Evening, and the Camel even had a real show that night after;
Then, of course, the "Chicken at Kroger's" incident happened right after that and they threw in the towel on Meade once and for all.
