Germany hasn't followed the law since 1969, another news source reports
they are offering to pay something like:
between 1/2 and 10 million for all 50,000 persons (many which aren't alive i guess)

This is a great move for justice.
But before we clap - let's make sure it isn't an en-masse lawsuit where political families end up with payouts, lawyers end up with most of the money, and the actually injured end up simply having been mocked for not having the money and the wife.

it's also an unlikely move for justice
"major law before minor law"
there are other issues in Germany i presume the poor would like handled - not the least of which is german government pay and overpaid gov workers using illegal labor (hardly minor issues)
wikipedia (not breitbart) says ...
"In 2002, the German Government decided to overturn any convictions for homosexuality made during the Nazi period"
(though I SAY - it's unlikely germans jailed anyone before 2002 unless it was a political attack against a "fall guy")

FURTHERMORE - anyone who's seen German porn, and know from 100 people agreeing it's "more over the top" of what other countries do...
would really wonder if any germans in any recent days have been jailed or fined for being gay
it'd like to see receipts, myself, just so i know it's not a set of lawsuits about something that never happened purely to cover for stolen funds

$3,000 GD for each conviction, plus $1,500 GD per year in jail
(that's a good payout until you think in USA, a wrongfully jailed person can sue for millions and in a few cases: wins)
(that's about $3,300 time in today's exchange rate)
there are en-masse suits in usa that pay pennies on the dollar or worse - let's put it that way

en-masse lawsuits exploded during Bill Clinton
people were saying they should be made ILLEGAL when during Clinton it became obvious lawyers were becoming mob crooks
