I think those kids are going to need a lot of cocoa butter...

I don't know about how the kid would feel about being kept alive, but I think it's cruel to us to have to witness them.

Although, the kid in the second picture would make a pretty awesome sculpture...

eesh... once again, your interests amaze me.

I'd never heard of this syndrome before, but it sounds like most of these babies die in infancy.

Your question.... should we keep these children alive?

Are you asking if they should be killed, or are you asking if it's cruel to attempt to prolong their lives?

I think it's harder for people that are anti-abortion.

I say we put'em in an oven and set the temp to 425° for forty minutes and then turn over basting for another fifteen. Blackend Harlequin is some of the best tasting.

Possibly.

But, even for many who are pro-abortion, the concept of allowing a live infant to die if there is a means to prolong its life is ethically challenging.

If I had a child born like this, I might elect to put it out of it's misery. The skin is literally torn and seriously, I can't fathom my child suffering with that much pain.

I would not have the stomach to let a child grow up like that. Besides the medical condition itself, what about the social stigma?

Now that you mention God and Jesus, where are they when these kids are being born with such a horrific deformity? Some people here may make jokes, but they didn't create them.

HOW SIMPLE CAN YOUR MIND POSSIBLY BE ?
IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN, PHYSICAL DEFORMITY/DISEASE WERE NON-EXISTANT
THE BIBLE SAYS HUMANITY FELL FROM GODS GRACE THROUGH ORIGINAL SIN.
THEREFORE WE LIVE IN A WORLD NOW, THAT IS A FAR CRY FROM YOUR
IDEAL WORLD WHERE GOD MAKES EVERYTHING PERFECT FOR YOU.

> "Some people here may make jokes, but they didn't create them."

YEAH BECAUSE I'M SURE THE PARENTS WERE LIKE "YOU KNOW WHAT, I THINK
I AM GOING TO MAKE A HORRIBLY DEFORMED BABY SO THAT I MAY WATCH IT SUFFER"
WHAT A RETARD YOU ARE.

You people are really fucking sick and demented. These babies are no different than your own children, and yourself. They feel pain and sadness. They are still human beings. The difference is that makes all you people even more twisted and just fucking sick, god i cant get over how sick mankind can really be, for people like you no wander god punishes us. But back to what i was saying is the difference is these are innocent babies. Who have never sinned and their mind is pure. And all you sick fucks make fun of them, and talk about burning them in a oven and strangling them with an umbilicle cord, would you do that to a normal cute baby? Or to your own child? I dont think so, i really think you all need a reality check on life, and damn hope you never run into someone like me. All i got to say is you better watch what you say around people cause you might just say it to the wrong person. I hope all you sick fucks get what you deserve.

among these deformities a demented mother will demand that their deformed baby when grown has a right to have a baby of their own and have sex with similar looking demented grotesque malformed human.

Kinda reminds me of that 60 minutes TV show where a mother demanded the right of her retarded son to have sex and have a baby with a similar retarded woman.

Then many years pass..... the retarded couple have baby together and the baby is normal and the baby when is 8 years old is forced to take care of her mom and dad for the rest of her life because the mom and dad poopies in their pants and she must cook and clean the house and pay bills for her retarded parents.

It is a sick sick world we live in to have a woman or man say its ok to have a 8 year old to live a life like that.

Oh and Inachu hurry up and write a new story for TV!

If (a majority of) you guys weren't so stupid and had done your research, you would find that treatments for this problem have vastly improved, with some people turning out less grotesque looking than some people who don't have genetic disorders. They can be fairly normal and healthy. But yes we should just kill them all after they're born because ew they're so gross. In fact, we should kill all the babies that we deem ugly. That makes sense, right? Or we should kill everyone with genetic defects because they're just going to grow up and pass on more genetic defects right? But oh wait! Someone else had to carry those genes to pass them on and create a genetically defected baby, so we have to kill them too! What do you think the chances are that you aren't a carrier of some kind of birth defect?

Someone should have discarded you guys.

THen they delude themselves...... aw isnt she so precious!
Then they dress up satan spawn in clothing while skin is falling off.

It just makes it feel like I am looking at an X-FILE TV SHOW

WHere the woman is in bred and her sons do her to make more weird shaped babies
as the Incest grown up teens bash the heads of police in to protect their mother whom they have sex with and then Mulder pulls the mother out who was tied up under the bed and screams bloody muder.....

Scully- Mam we are here to save you.
The deformed mother replies -YOU will never know the meaning of family pride!

So yeah its those types who love to give birth to weird things.

Within all honesty; I feel dreadfully bad about the poor babies, if you can understand where I'm coming from. Living your life, such a sad sight to everyone else, but to them, that's who they are and they can't help it. The poor dears, if only they could have just had the chance we all else have.

Technically I can't be one to say that in the least bit though, I'm colorblind, an extreme asthmatic etc; and although I have NOTHING like H.L; Living life like the way I do is already a challenge compared to other people who don't have to put up with it.

As for the pictures; I like how you guys tried to lighten the mood a little, it takes away some of the mourning, but there ARE people online here that do take something like that to heart like the woman with the nine year old, she takes it personally because her baby was born that way.

I'm glad I discovered this page, although strangely enough, I was looking for Harlequin from Batman.. As much as I'd love to offer my input onto this situation, sitting here online reading up about what this condition is; I DO feel like I have no right to comment aswell, seeing as I have no personal experience with it.

Congratulations to the survivors; we wish you all the best; And my condolences to the mothers, fathers, siblings and families that have lost a loved one to such a shame of a birthed life.

(And to all of you out there with H.L; I'm proud of you to survive this long, now keep living your life and make us all proud, you never know what you may become!)

=)

Just to let you and everyone else know, when they do survive, they lead relatively happy, painless lives (with the proper care). A woman was born in 1984 and is still alive and well today, and by the looks of it is very happy with her life. Did anyone ACTUALLY look this stuff up?

I'd allow a Harlequin to perform hand release on me, just to be charitable.

"Neil Young" REMIX....Harlequin Girl

I wanna live
with a Harlequin girl
I could be happy
the rest of my life
With a Harlequin girl.

A nightmare of pictures
We run in the night
You see us together,
chasing the dragon,
My cinnamon girl.

Ten silver arrows,
a Demon crossbow
The archer relaxes
and waits between ho's
For his Harlequin girl.

A nightmare of pictures
We run in the night
You see us together,
chasing the dragon,
My Harlequin girl.

Pa sent me money now
I'm gonna make it somehow
I need another chance
You see your baby loves to dance
Yeah...yeah...yeah.

Ok lets pretend these weird babies never are aborted and they get expert care to adult hood and the parents desire tehm to be as normal as possible thus have hope the deformed kids can copulate and have babies of their own.

Lets say they above is true and happens in real life.

Various DNA markers are changed. Life forms birthed from these down the line 10 generations or so into the future will resemble something less and less human as the generations go along.

Soon one of those things get loose into the general public lets say these babies are born on an island dedicated to them and they escape to NYC or California.

They wiil eithe resemble a space alien or something resembling something satanic.

Either way it will either be killed or worshipped like a god be it good or evil.

Serious though that why these moderns parents are messed up in the head.
