Because Trump is a traitor dependent on a racist traitor base. And they are looking for a reason to dump him because Trump is a liability now. So Trump is getting crazier to please them so he can stay out of prison longer.

Trump can no longer muster majority support from any demographic including uneducated white males. He's on his last leg with one in a prison jumpsuit for traitors. He needs to hold on to the most degenerate Americans or Republican lawmakers will eat him alive.

In a way, this shut down may be hurting America but the pain may be what is needed to save America and throw the orange clown in prison. The dynamics, consequences and stakes of the shut down higher and more complicated every passing day.

Who knows Republicans in the senate may want to lower their approval enough to impeach Trump so they could have a salvageable 2020 presidential candidacy.

Trump wants them to act on their own so he can blame everyone including Republicans.

Trump is playing chicken and he's the one on the grill.

You ever hear of when people get scammed? Like spending a shitload of money on a timeshare or buying “state-of-the-art” stereo speakers from a guy in a white van?

That’s what happened to trumptards. And like most scam victims they’re too embarrassed to admit they’ve been had, so they just keep saying how great things are or keep changing their story. It’s hard to swallow your pride when you’ve invested yourself so much into something that turned into a real dud.

If you ask Trump the answer would be never - no plans for any money to the Treasury. Trump has claimed that the economy would get money from the unratified trade agreement but that money goes to corporations and business owners not directly to the Treasury. There would have to be enough for the taxes on that money to fund the wall and no accounting or estimate has been provided.
