LOL. No shit. My daughter came in and said "I'm tired of playing in the snow. It's too much." I answered - "At least you didn't have to shovel it. I'll trade you any time."

My kids are so bored, they actually like helping with the shoveling. That's how bad it has gotten.

Well, there's a bunch of day laborers that would be happy to help shovel for you. Check out the local pick up spots (7-11 on Backlick near Commerce; Centreville Library; 7-11 just off 236 inside the beltway are a few)

Course, you have to go get them first.

That would involve me shoveling my driveway. See the paradox?

Maybe they don't have 15 illegal aliens living with them like you do.
If you need more shovels let me know, I'm selling some of mine for 100.00 each

I used a bucket the last storm and my back did not hurt afterward. I must have hauled over 100 buckets to the nearest snow piles.

I think it's easier than using a shovel, holds more and you can use all leg power and not your back like a shovel.

What kid on Earth has ever said that?

I spent the first night of Snowmageddon out in the middle of the blizzard until 0100 with some family members, and we spent four hours straight shoveling and throwing the 13+ inches that had already fallen, all the while we were being pelted by blown ice bits, as well as the snow I was attempting to move with the thrower being blown right back at me. We had fun though! My arms hurt like hell after the first night, but I used a heating pad, and I was back to normal by the next morning.

The next day the entire family across the street came over to help us dig out from the heavy chunks blocking our driveway (Plow debris). We worked hours, and I had to hold the snow thrower up in the air most of the time (The piles were 4 Ft.+ high).

Last night I spent about 1.5 hours outside just running around with my snowshoes on, running/walking the dogs, climbing and sliding down mountains of ice and snow, etc. It's a blast!

The first night of the storm as well, our washing machine broke. So we've been handwashing since, but a neighbor has offered us the use of their washer. A huge evergreen tree fell down on Saturday morning and blocked off our entire street from the main-road, but another neighbor took his chainsaw to it, and turned it into firewood.

Tomorrow I'll probably start on an Igloo, and I'll see if I can use my Husky to help me move a bunch of sawed off tree limbs which are currently blocking the sidewalk nearby.

Evergreens do not make good firewood.
