Congratulations Saints!

I have to admit. I teared up a bit when they won. I don't know how much the Saints really mean to the people of New Orleans, but I would like to think that this means something to them.

what? Did the Super Bowl happen today? How many goals did the Shreveport Animals score? Did Dirk Dickerson stop the reanimated corpse of Vince Lombardi from creating an army of zombie football players? How was Gary Numan? Did he play "Cars"? Was Jensen there? How were the commercials? Did they play that one where the black guy puts a shaggy dog on his head so he looks like a rasta man?

Numan was good, but he didn't play "Cars." He came back for his encore, but did a cover version of The Knack's "Good Girls Don't, But I Do." You could tell his fan was disappointed.

Well, the Saints actually wanted to win the Super Bowl. The Colts seem to have no interest in it for the last few weeks. I have NEVER seen any team so de-motivated to win a super bowl as the Colts were.

I think there were a couple of factors involved. I think when they gave up on the perfect record, it really demotivated them. They had a chance to make history and they failed. I also think the difference in the game was the play calling. I think the Colts were the better team, but Sean Payton's ballsy play-calling really motivated the Saints to step up and win.
