oh, man...let me tell 'ya, getting hit by a truck was the most awesome thing that ever happened to me. Not only am I gonna get at least a couple million in damages, but I got a good year and a half of everything from oxycontin, vicodan, percoset, dilaudid, you name it. Only problem is, now I really miss it. I kinda hope I get hit by another truck sometime soon. The narcotic pain meds are TOTALLY worth it. Just make sure the other guy's at fault.

Yep, don't chew the morphine tablets though...you get a quick high but it loses all its pain numbing properties.
Eh, I had a medical situation where morphine was administered for severe pain.
It did kill the pain and make me fell all warm and cozy like someone just turned the thermostat in that frigid hospital room to juuuuuuuuust the right temperature. But that was it.
Maybe because of how it was administered, like eesh said. Had I been allowed to main vein the shit, maybe I would have been breaking into the hospital that night trying to harvesy the rest of thier stash. Who knows, but it definately did the trick for the pain though.
there is no god. You know how I know? Because no god would allow a little miracle in pill form like oxy to also be the thing to mentally and physically destroy you. Why are all the good things bad for you? If I could eat 10 oxys a day and not get sick and addicted, then I would know god exists. It's not right. If there is a god, then he's just a big asshole. A big hairy, stinky asshole.

I had an IV morphine line after I fractured my back and skull. The nurses would only administer one dose every two hours, I think (it was all kind of a blur).
It didn't do much for the pain, but it made not being able to move a little more tolerable. Then again, having your gaping head wound shaved with a single-bladed disposable Bic razor so they can stabilize you for life flight kind of redefines your perception of "ouch."
