For some reason, all the Canadians I know really like the band The Tragically Hip. I always thought that was weird.

As a Canadian, I was forced to learn how to maintain an icerink, including learning to drive a Zamboni.

Canada is stupid. Can you think of another country in the history of earth with a blander, less-interesting history and culture? Canada doesn't even have a culture of it's own. It's America Lite. Why do you think 90% of the population lives within 50 miles of the US border? They got nothin'. It's like Bill Pullman: the country. I would be ashamed and embarrassed to be a Canadian. Canadians should all hang their heads, just for being from a place so uninteresting and non-descript. In fact, if I were a Canadian, I would just go ahead and kill myself--dive in front of a zamboni. Just for the shame of it all.

Canada should be ashamed of itself. For contributing nothing culturally to the world. And don't tell me hockey is a contribution. Hockey is stupid. Sports are stupid. Canada is stupid. Everyone from Canada is stupid. And don't bring up all the famous Canadians either--because they ALL came to America and never went back. They talk stupid. They wear stupid hats. Their police look stupid.

Canada can go fuck itself. Fuck itself hard. In the ass. With a hockey stick. Boo, Canada! Boo! Boo! Boo!!!!!

I think it's mostly people who grew up there. I won't say they suck, but they're pretty lame, and I can never figure out why they have such a dedicated fanbase. One guy I know from Ottawa was in disbelief when me and some co-workers told him we didn't own any of their albums. He was seriously shocked by that.

I think the whole "they didn't support us in Iraq" mentality has died off.

Another reason to like Canada: The Trailer Park Boys. One of my favorite TV shows of all time.

It's a "mockumentary" about a bunch of goofy trailer-park losers whose lives revolve around smoking weed and retarded "get rich" schemes. It's sorta like a cross between Beavis & Butthead and COPS.

Fantastic TV show- something like this would never air in the US.

By the way, everything you people have brought up as being cultural contributions from Canada is INVALID. Neil Young, Rush, Molson's--these things already existed elsewhere--they're just Canadian versions of pre-existing styles of music, art, beer--whatever. Canada has not actually CONCEIVED of any valid, original art-form or tradition that did not already exist someplace else. Okay, hockey....but is that really something to be proud of? Really? The ancient Egyptians made the pyramids, and the best you could give us was a game where grown-ass men skate around with sticks? I wouldn't go bragging about that if I were you.

What is the difference between Canada and yogurt?

Yogurt has an active culture.

To be honest. I have had my run ins with Canadians - in Canada as well as other parts of the world. In Europe, I have been approached by them and asked if I was Canadian. Then they start babbling and I must go away forcibly or hit them. Trust me I have heard enough about BC Hydro to last me a lifetime.

Look, they are a second rate people. Even Brooke what's her name on WMAL formerly, once admitted, on air, she thought the capital of Canada was Montreal! And she was teabagging before it became the popular thing to do. Pun intended. US people don't "get" Canada, nor do we want to.

Don't mess with Canada, they burned down the white house once.

At least they supported us in WWII.

I've been to British Columbia, and my favorite area was Victoria Island (BEAUTIFUL setting, and very nice people). I've also been up near Montreal, but that place is sort of "different" to say the least. They've always been rather anti-American, and even the English Canucks get pissed off by the fake Frenchies. I did get to talk to a pretty French Canadian chick when I was up in Plattsburgh, NY though, and she was really nice and outgoing, not weird or arrogant, but I think her father rocked a Mohawk lol.
