Snow shovel technology

You'd think by now that every snow shovel would be made of some space age polymer that repels snow. Instead, they all seem to stick to the snow, making for a very unpleasant shoveling experience.

It's hard to get a good shovel full of snow because half the snow from the last shovel full is still stuck to the shovel.

I spray my shovel with cooking spray when it is dry and the snow never sticks.

I will try that technique later, thanks.

I wear my toolbelt out when it's snowing. If it's starting to clump onto the shovel, I lift it up and give it a few good wacks with the end of my toolbelt and the snow comes flying right off. Works like a charm. I also carry a very large ice scraper and an extra set of brushes.

Hope that helps.

And it would probably cost $100 for the shovel.

+1. I learned that trick when I was a wee lad. My wife thought I was crazy, but it works. But it has to be dry.
