The longer, the better. They always pay us after the shut down is over. I am not stupid, I have money. I do not live paycheck to paycheck. This is a paid vacation. The joke is on the taxpayers. DO IT TRUMP

Nobody cares about spoiled federal workers and they already vote democrat. Trump will cut them loose.

78% of feds vote democrat. Trump has no reason to appease them. He should cut their pay by 50% when they come back from a shutdown for the time missed. LEO has to work anyway as does most of DOD and DHS. Those are the feds who vote for Trump and they'll get paid. The rest can suck it.

Trump has nothing to lose now shutting down the government. He used to go along to save the GOPer's but now that he can blame the dems in the House. I expect a bigly shutdown next year when the entire budget is going to be up for his signature. With no federal elections next fall, he'll shut the entire thing down. And if he refuses to sign any backpay stuff, that'll be amazing.

Yes, shut it down! The last time it was shut down was in 2013 with the sequester. I remember the leaders at the Fairfax County government (Queen Sharon, County Executive) blamed the sequester for a few years after it wrapped up for county revenues being pushed down. Hey, they had to find someone to blame as opposed to taking responsibility for their own actions.
