Thanks you for the responses to my "virtue signaling" and "collusion" threads. Little, if any, was on point, but interesting nonetheless. Therefore, we will try one more. The term today is "high crimes and misdemeanors".
Let us say, for the moment, that Barack Obama was alleged by federal prosecutors to have directed a minion to commit a felony violation of the federal campaign laws. Directing, encouraging, etc. someone to commit a felony makes a person an accessory before the fact, which is a felony, and any agreement between two people to commit a felony is conspiracy. If a President is to be impeached, the "case" starts in the House judiciary committee.
You are the Republican chairman of the House judiciary committee. (For the sake of discussion, you are in the majority) You personally believe that the campaign finance laws are vague, perhaps to the point of being unenforceable, but you consider Obama to be a cancer on America, and your constituents want you to be very aggressive in getting the SOB out of office.
Again, you are the Republican chairman of the committee. What do you do?
