there's been a CONTINUAL battle in the animal food sector about food quality
D is a "complex protein" so it is likely a cover for the food being badly degraded by the time the dog eats it - a fake news media cover
i say this knowing the main issues for cat food is harmful bacteria level (ie, old canned food on shelf too long or improperly handed before going into can, some cat food makers have been in violation for years)
(also: some food makers don't put in "the right nutrients". while perfect is not necessary you don't want a dog malnurnished / diseased due to lack of basic ingredients)
FDA RECALL on breitbart: Nutrisca, Natural Life Pet Products, Sunshine Mills, Inc., ANF, Inc., Lidl (Orlando brand), Kroger, ELM Pet Foods, Inc., and Ahold Delhaize.

Before feeding your dog with particular food, be sure to do lots of reserch. Read these reviews https://goodpuppyfood.com/diets/best-dog-food-for-senior-dogs/ . Read content of the food you are going to try on your dog. Go only with well balanced food.
