Are the reserve components of the different military branches more “prestigious” than others?

I’m 30 and am thinking of joining the reserves with one of the branches, but I’m not sure which would be best. I’m interested in doing something in intel. And have specifically been looking at the ANG, army and coast guard reserves. I’m confident I could get a high enough score on the ASVAB to qualify for something in intel.

They are all excellent. Take your pick but you should be aware that most positions are competitive, to include review of your resume and interviews. You should get in contact with the actual units you are trying to join. Talk to at least 3 people at each unit to get an idea of what you are in for. Understand the differences in the services, i.e., be prepared to deploy with the Army.

Fun fact; our very own Phillip B. Leiser is a former lieutenant in the navy reserve’s nuclear propulsion program. Won’t you consider being in such esteemed company?!?

Thanks for the info. I’ll be sure to do that. I’m also trying to figure out how to tell my employer who I just joined if/when I enlist.
