Elmer Gantry Obama

Obama is the Elmer Gantry of presidents. I get the perception that to him the Presidency is personal, nothing more than a political exercise, his grade self-administered and skewed by his affirmative action background. Real men, women and institutions have uplifted him through his life with the hope that he could be groomed into leadership. He has been spawned in the corruption of Chicago politics, and schooled in the Alinsky mindset of elitist wealth distribution. Consequently, he has earned very little fairly, accomplished hardly anything with personal initiative, or accepted responsibility for any dysfunction his community organization has produced. He postures, relies on those who placed him in this position to do all the heavy lifting, and then blames everyone for the inevitable failure of his “vision.”
His Presidency founded and funded by the Soros’s, banking lobbyists, ACORN and beltway cronyism is the only thing that, ironically, has actually gained any of his pledged transparency; a transparency that has spawned tea parties, Republicans landslides, and the catcalls of “liar” and “robed rectitude” in the most hallowed halls of our failing democracy.
His staunchest ally the MSM is revolting, and the anger and frustration of his narcissist mindset cannot be hidden behind the teleprompter. His entire political persona so far has been to shirk responsibly, to constantly seek a “fall guy” or to throw somebody under the bus.
That blame game is a two way street, it is downhill both directions, and the chickens have come home to roost.

You may be right..time will tell. I do need to call you on one "fact"...please research the amount banks and wall street firms contributed to Obama's campaign vice McSame's campaign.

As fas as the Soros and Acorn comment...Soros, is a great American...and I am sure Acorn's contributions are pennies compared to the contributions into Republican coffers by just as seedy right wing organizations.

Soros may be the biggest political fat cat of all time. Convicted in France of insider trading, Soros specializes in weakening or collapsing the currencies of entire nations for his own selfish interests. He is known as the man who broke the Bank of England. His power is such that his statements alone can cause currencies to go up or down. Other people suffer so he can get rich. But journalists don't want to examine the questionable means by which he achieved his wealth because they share his goal of electing Kerry and the Democrats. Curiously, once he made his fortune he became a global socialist, endorsing global taxes on the very means he employed to get rich – international currency speculation and manipulation.

The media consistently ignore the fact that this so-called "philanthropist" has had several brushes with the law as he has laid siege to national economies and currencies. Hard-working U.S. businessmen understand how Soros has made his money. In protesting a Soros appearance hosted by the University of Toledo, Edwin J. Nagle III, president and CEO of the Nagle Companies, highlighted "the immoral and unethical means by which he achieved his wealth." He added, "I certainly didn't see included in his bio the stories on how he collapsed whole country's currencies for his own self interests so that many may suffer."

Here, Soros signed a consent decree in United States District Court, in a Securities and Exchange Commission case involving stock manipulation, and was fined $75,000 by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for holding positions "in excess of speculative limits." Stories about Soros rarely, if ever, mention any of his legal problems.

Despite his vision of an "open society," he operates an unregulated "hedge fund," open only to the super-rich, and is currently fighting a proposal from the Bush-appointed chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission to regulate and monitor these offshore entities. House Speaker Dennis Hastert said on national television that no one really knows where the Soros money comes from.

Wow..Soros and martha Stewart convicted of insider trading! Well..actually Martha was convicted about lying about it..but still..big deal!

I hope you are prepared to bad mouth all hedge-fund operators as sharply. I am sure that if all hedge fund operators were restricted from political activity..Democrats would come out ahead in that arrangement.

Do you hang out with Republican Vince (aka, Registered Voter or RV)?

If so, were you invited to his State of the Union sleepover? I was. And, let me tell you: IT ROCKED.

I'm still sore.

Seriously, in looking at this, it seems to me that there are interests in the US that have determined to NOT drill for oil in the US - at this time. Meaning? They are more than willing to back environmentalists to work against approval of US drilling off the continental shelf until other nations have exhausted their resources. Why would they do that? Well, if they hold the oil at the end of the run, they will make the most money of course.

This is just my personal theory - but I am pretty sure it is correct based on how these folks work. They use the convenient excuse of environmentalism today, but assuming nothing comes along to replace fossil fuels anytime soon, they will continue to push to encourage development of oil and NG resources in other countries over doing anything in the US. For now.

If you can’t model the past, where you know the answer pretty well, how can you model the future? - William Happer Cyrus Fogg Brackett Professor of Physics Princeton University

I have a theory...drilling for U.S. oil and gas is stealing future American generations the use of these precious resources that may be needed for national defense. Its the equivalent of burdening them with debt. Keep the U.S. oil and gas in the ground so that futute generations can pay off the debt.
