roughest job you ever had?
Posted by: me for da win ()
Date: October 19, 2018 05:11PM

I once worked in a textile dyeing plant where we'd put 100yd lengths of cloth into a washing machine to give the fabric a "washed" looked for the customers. Imagine taking out a giant knot of wet hot long cloth and untying the knot. 9 maybe 12 hours a day, two washes an hour in an not air conditioned factory. Can you beat that!

Spending 12 hours a day in a factory putting nuts on bolts with an impact wrench.
We made guard rails for highways. I'd go to sleep at night and dream about
putting nuts on bolts.

Once worked in a shoe factory in an unairconditioned building making $1.45 hr. The job entailed cutting insoles from raw pieces of sheet leather using a steam driven cutter while standing eight hours a day. The problem was a demanding boss who constantly checked if you were setting your 'cookie cutters' to get maximum cuts of leather leaving little waste, and a dozen women on piece work calling you everything but a child of God for being too slow in delivering their cuts for sewing. China can have shit work like that.

I had to research every post on FFU in painstaking deatail, compile my findings, and accumulate whole binders full of evidence, which I presented to multiple police agencies. I was never even compensated for all of this labor, and was so broke at the time that I was living in my Mustang and getting bitten by cockroaches that had infested the car.

Well back in the middle 1960s, a bunch of us undergraduates from UCBerkly decided to go over to Cuba and help with the sugar cane harvest; just helping a bunch of decent hard working Socialist get the harvest in. While the others were killing in Nam; we tried to set an example of "universal brotherhood" and love to the world. I think we did!

Please google it, that's the trouble with your types too lazy to verify the facts and always jumps to false conclusions no matter how important the issue. You need to pay attention more and use rational thinking, you'd be more successful un life.

I worked in the biggest liquor store in PG county.
99.999% of all customers were niggers.
Thieving, lying, criminal, alcoholic niggers.
We had an off duty cop working every night.
He work out his hand cuffs locking niggers up that stole liquor.
I hated that job & I quit after about 3 months.

I couldn't deal with the stinking, booze soaked niggers every night.

There was some heavy lifting but that's why we had forklifts.
Good ear protection and yes, it was boring but I leaned a lot.
Mostly why I didn't want to make manufacturing my career.
Great work for a college student during summers though.
The money wasn't bad and lots of overtime.

Got boring so headed down to the panhandle and became a roughneck. Saved the money, took flight lessons, passed the flight certification, headed to Northeast Canada, flew bushplanes for a few years. Finally got that fucking war out of my head, used the GI Bill while attending university. Made extra cash working as a skip tracer in Charlottesville.
Now retired, enjoying fishing, intelligent women

Shut the fuck up! All libtards want are poor "workers" to do menial jobs with low pay. Of course people would be better off learning a skill and working their way up. Thankfully that is possible again with president Trump's policies. Democrats can't take a lick of credit for the US economy, tax cuts for all Americans, competitive job market and higher incomes. All democrats want is illegal aliens to work for peanuts and receive handouts in trade for votes. If you're American, you're an enemy of the DNC.

..........truth. About the existence of the Venceremos Brigades, that is. It started in the late 1960s, rather than middle. They still exist, but SDS, which founded it, does not. It is pretty rough work and it turned more that a few radical leftists into radical rightists. many more became totally disillusioned with the left after working the cane fields in Cuba.

Despite that, they Venceremos Brigades still go to Cuba every year. They have a website. Google the thing. Lately, it has been helping with the revival of guilty white liberalism at home.

Summer after 1st year of college I worked construction, helping build a large apartment building.

Loaded bricks on a cart using tongs. Pushed brick cart up to where bricklayers were working, then used tongs to unload bricks onto floor or scaffold floor near each bricklayer. Cart often had to be pushed up a ramp from one level of the building to another.

June to August in the brutal heat and humidity of DC area.

After work, go straight home to shower. Seemed like a pound of dirt would come off.

Go out drinking with friends at night. The work was so physically exhausting that sleep was very deep. Sleeping 4 to 6 hours, I'd wake up refreshed as if I had slept 9 hours.

This was decades ago. Most of the bricklayers seemed to be in a contest to see who could be crudest. Sometimes it was funny. Not so funny other times.

It creeped me out when bricklayers would see a 12 or 13 year old girl walking a hundred yards away and start bragging to each other "she wants my body."

Rare times when a woman from the construction company's front office brought checks or other paperwork for the foreman, the bricklayers would try to gross her out if they could do so without the foreman seeing their behavior.

Motivated me to stay in college and go into a profession that would not be physically exhausting.

Buddy you're full of shit. If you ever worked construction in your life you'd know that bricklayers / masons don't have "assistants" they have helpers and laborers. You should kill yourself now and have your mom/lover post the video on line for all to see.

If it’s true that would make you a boomer and you should have been jailed for treason. If your a lying it makes you a liberal and you should have the ability to have children terminated so that your boomer parents genes never make it to a grandchild. Outside of that what makes you think this is an important issue to anyone but yourself? Also, The only thing worse than a liberal is a liberal baby boomer. Google that fuck nuts.

In the sewers of New York City, impregnated long fiberglass inner shells some over 100ft, in crack sewer lines. Pull them through then subject the inner to extreme steam heat to cure. One time I picked up the manhole and the whole inner wall was moving, giant shiny cockroaches scattering, also when we lift the covers the rats being blinded by the light go nuts. Worked all over NY, Hunts Point, Staton Island, Bronx, Queens, Whitestone, Brooklyn.

Buddy you win. I used to be a garbage man. People put everything from dead babies to dead dogs in the trash but lining sewer pipe would suck!

Janitor at fairfax Inova. I cleaned it all up. Barf. Blood on toilets. Weird fluids. Emptying pans in the waiting rooms after the super bowl from all the alcohol poisoning. Taking out the bio waste.

Yup. Paid low, everyone treated you like a nigger and ordered you around.

I am a Board certified cardiologist. Have been one for nearly 30 years, I think I am getting pretty good at it.

When Obamacare first passed, my office was flooded by illegal aliens waving Obama's picture and demanding I remove their hemoroids, pick splinters out of their feet, nasty looking old spics wanted "lady stuff" taken care of. I was told flat out that if I did not do this for free, Obama would send me to jail. So I did it all. My waiting room still smells like tequilla and buritos.

Strangely, I heard Sean Hannity on the radio saying this exact same thing would happen. Even the ailments - removing splinters from illegals feet - was mentioned. I did not believe him, then. But I do now.

I had a job as a government intern for a pretty important guy. At first I thought it was really cool despite the long hours. I got to know what was happening behind the scenes. Then the important guy told me I was cute and asked me to give him a blowjob. I figured why not? Maybe he could get me a permanent job. He turned out to be kind of a pervert, wanting to do kinky things with tobacco, and ruined one of my best dresses with his DNA. Then some busybody in the office found out about it, and told everyone, and my life hasn’t been the same since.

You left out the part where you used to pull up your skirt to let him see the lace on the hem of your slip and hoped it would get him interested. Then you acted surprised when it did. How come when people go looking for trouble, they're always surprised when they find it?

Even back then, I didn't know younger women still wore slips. My wife did, and still does, but we're old people, so all the girls and women wore them back then. In fact, I thought it was funny when longer and fuller skirts and dresses came back a few years ago, the ladies were complaining about them catching between their legs. Me and my wife told a few of 'em why petticoats were invented. They thought those things were only invented for looks, not a practical purpose.

Thanks, I had my share of shit, I remember working in ChinaTown, nothing but rice and condumns floating around down there, I guess rice really doesn't digest.

The hardest part was getting the resin impregnated pipe into a "reefer" truck, then pile ice on it to prevent friction from solidifying portions of the fiberglass pipe. You can imagine how much this stuff weighs, like a slab of lead. Tough job, I got a hernia loading that stuff.
