Here at the International terminal at IAD, I see three Icelandair 757's, two 200 series, one 300 series, all waiting to depart right after 9:00 PM. They are all going to Keflavik airport tonight. I don't see a lot of Icelanders, though.
What is going on for that small country to have over 1200 seats flying in from DC tonight?

Nope. Everyone knows Icelandair is designed to be price competitive for hubs to Europe only in the winter months when tourism to Iceland is low. I asked a flight attendent for United and was told school starts soon in Iceland, and they all come here to buy clothes and supplies before school starts. The multiple flights to IAD will be whittled down in August, after school starts.

It's a popular stopover on the way to Europe. You can actually get there in about the same amount of time it takes to fly to LA or SF. And Dulles is an international hub airport, so people coming from smaller US airports connect out of IAD for trips to Europe.

Gerry uses his allowance from his mom to go to countries where he can rape preteen boys like he does to his goat. Gerry is a sick faggot pedo with gay child porn on his cheap ass Sprint phone.

Normally Iceland Air flys out of BWI,
That is true. It is a "charter" type service. The package includes a cheap hotel and bus service to and from Potomac Mills Mall.
Also, Iceland Air reserves slots from other airlines at Dulles for the busy summer months, when people actually go to Iceland.

Greetings from Spain.
Yup, they all came to the terminal, several hundred, at the same time, lots teenagers. Not many Americans, as I could tell were at the terminals.
Why would someone think Iceland would be used for a hub in the summer months when the planes are already mostly filled with Icelandic tourists, and American and European tourists going to Iceland? It makes no economic sense for the airlines to lower the "cost per passenger per passenger mile" to compete in a market it does not need to serve. In the winter, When the planes fly half full, yes, they need the "fannies in the seats," so a hub is an option. They have to fly anyway. But, with flight scheduling, it is only convenient to hub for a few select cities in Europe. That is why you hear radio commercials in the winter for Icelandair flying to two or three European cities from the US, not dozens of European destinations.
