I go into the interviews and they all happy and excited. Then we get down to salary negotiations and they can't break $150,000. Don't waste my time with these interviews if you aren't going to pay my salary requirement in the first place. Why would I leave where I'm at for pay cut? Are they insane?

why do you waste your time in an interview without knowing the salary range? You are the one wasting your own time. Cant blame them for dragging you in - maybe you are unhappy where you are. At this pay level you should at least be able to set meeting criteria for God's sake. Id say you are overpaid where you are.

I do tell them and they all say, "Oh yes." In salary negotiations, they all back out. I've dropped several recruiters because they lie their ass off.

I keep two hot recruiters because they buy me drinks at happy hour. Nothing like having to hot chics buying you drinks.

I haven't asked. They are dumb as rocks. They talk like valley girls and use napkins to soak up any grease in happy hour food. Hey, so long as the alcohol is free and have two hot chics I'm good. Always easier to meet other hot chics when you're with two hotties.
