N. Korean Summit Concessions Tally
Posted by: Mr. Magoo Negotiations ()

N. Korea
- got to meet with the President of the United States
- got the US to agree to stop joint exercises with S. Korea
- got Trump to state joint exercises were 'provocative' (N.Korea's usual propaganda line about them

US
- Kim merely “reaffirmed” the same commitment to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula that North Korea has repeatedly made since 1992.

There was nothing about North Korea freezing plutonium and uranium programs, nothing about destroying intercontinental ballistic missiles, nothing about allowing inspectors to return to nuclear sites, nothing about North Korea making a full declaration of its nuclear program, nothing about a timetable, nothing about verification, not even any clear pledge to permanently halt testing of nuclear weapons or long-range missiles.

Kim seems to have completely out-negotiated Trump, and it’s scary that Trump doesn’t seem to realize this.

Your butt hurts.

It was a first meeting stupid.

And you could include destroying the sites, stopping missile testing and launches, releasing prisoners, and multiple other things on the other side so you're just a butt hurt little bitch.

Lots of kids who fathers died in North Korea will have closure, too bad the parents are not around though. There are hundres of remains still in Korea. Show a little compassion you're supposed to be a liberal, and have some empathy for a change. It is only the first meeting, what the hell did you expect? The Bamboo Curtain to come down like Reagan caused. Be patient.

They already did all those things - they werent concessions. They were done with testing and its speculated the underground site was damaged when they closed it. 2 of the 3 prisoners released were captured under Trumps watch. They stopped testing when they confirmed ICBM capability not before. They dont need to test any more.

'multiple other things?' wtf are you talking about. I get you like Trump and IM ok with that. But why drink the Kool aid and swallow all the bullshit?

Trump didn’t achieve anything remotely as good as the Iran nuclear deal, which led Iran to eliminate 98 percent of its enriched uranium.

Trump didn't have a MAC plane carrying tons of American dollars in neat palletized stacks waiting on the tarmac like Obama negotiated with. Obama presented the Iranians with a beautifully wrapped package with his complements. Smart up!

You poor stupid donkey - have an adult read this aloud to you

"the $400 million dollar transfer was actually an openly announced one, paid in settlement of a nearly 40-year dispute between Iran and the United States — a settlement that likely saved the United States several billion dollars.

Back in late 1979, after Iranian revolutionaries took 52 Americans hostage at the US Embassy in Tehran, the United States severed diplomatic relations with Iran and froze Iranian assets in America. Among those frozen assets was a $400 million delivery of fighter jets from the U.S. that Iran’s previous government had already paid for.

Although the American hostages were finally released a year later, issues such as the frozen Iranian assets (including that $400 million) were not settled at that time. Instead, an international court based in the Hague, the Iran–United States Claims Tribunal was established to deal with such legal claims. The tribunal process dragged on for years and years without a ruling on the $400 million being issued, and finally, when arbitration process was apparently about to wind up (quite possibly not in American’s favor), the U.S. agreed to pay Iran back the $400 million principal along with $1.3 billion in interest. If the issue had gone to the tribunal for a decision, as was expected, the U.S. could have been on the hook for the full $10 billion in compensation Iran was seeking."

As usual Trump negotiations were a complete disaster.

Now Trump is backpedaling on stopping the "war games"(military preparedness exercises). Trump's new excuse is the "Stopping war games is nothing to do with the Summit, too expensive." BULLSHIT

If Trump wants to save the taxpayers some money, cancel those million dollar trips to Mar-Largo golf trips every weekend.

That was bullshit. And it wasn't jets it was parts for the jets that we'd provided to their military. We held the money in dispute. We had no intention of ever returning it no matter what some court in the Hague said. It was not a true court. It was an arbitration process with no ability to enforce anything other than what the parties agreed to and voluntarily complied with. We'd not for +35 years. That was just a bullshit excuse just to justify it.

And we ended up giving them +$150 Buh Buh Buh BILLION you stupid shit.

Ben Rhodes was right. You dumb motherfuckers will believe anything.

You poor dumb animal - why not try reading before you vomit Trump lies youve been programmed with? 150 Billion 'we' gave them. Can you even understand how ignorant you are? World Financial institutions had frozen about a third of that in Iran's own money not 'our' money. It was released when they lived up to their end of the deal not before. So, 'we' and the world took their money and held it as hostage until they complied. Fucking Trumpbot, you couldnt wipe your ass unless Sean or Alex told you Trump approved it. Fuck you are stupid.

I didn't say that it was "our money" stupid. Some of it was our money that we claimed was owed to us. We gave them access to $150 billion. What they may have owed others and what they walked away with free and clear with out of that as noted in your link is irrelevant. Call it $50 billion for that matter. It's still way more than your dumb fucking "$400 million principal along with $1.3 billion in interest." Especially considering that we gave them $1.8 buh buh BILLION in CASH. So your bullshit "international court" excuse doesn't work either way you stupid motherfucker. lol

This is the first American President he's had any dealings with. He's only been in office since 2011. Are you retarded?

1st you say we gave them '150 buh buh billion
2nd you say it wasnt 'our money' and 'we' didnt 'give it to them'
3rd you agree it was no where near '150 buh buh billion'
4th you admit it was their money to begin with.

Seems like you are arguing with yourself idiot.

Trump gave them legitimacy, he gave them propaganda pics for then next decade, he called our joint exercises 'war games' 'provocative' and 'unnecessary' Then he promised to end our joint exercises with S.Korea.

Kim still has everything he started with, missiles, nukes, plutonium, thousands of pieces of artillery pointed at S. Korea and our soldiers. Kim gave Trump a piece of paper saying he was dedicated to peace. Jesus.
