So in my opinion, if you pay property tax when GAINING income and property you should get a benefit if you LOOSE property.

Right? Loose value and property then the government and people should be paying you!!

HUH?!?! The county will lower your property taxes if the value of the property goes down.

In theory.

What will actually happen is that Fairfax County will jack up the rates to make up for the shortfall. They are addicted to spending.
