Voting is the American way. But meeting with a foreign country to influence elections is treason.

It isn't uncommon to vote for an absurd candidate when both major candidates are awful.
In 2000 and 2016, I wrote in "Charles Manson" myself.

When I held a job that required I have a security clearance they asked me if I was then or ever was a member of the Communist Party. They never asked me if I had ever voted for a Communist Party candidate. This was at the height of the Cold War when Reagan was calling the Soviet Union the Evil Empire.

I was more worried about the drug questions, but they said pot didn't count.
