In order to energize a deflated and tired support base. They need enemies in order to convince the mouth breathers that their guns are under threat of being taken away. Think about it, do you know how much money has been drummed up? David Hogg and all these other kids are paid by the NRA as well. The Russians are undoubtedly the best at hoodwinking conservatives, the NRA is a close second.
