Watched a special on Eric Clapton. Amazing talent but he was a heroin addict then raging alcoholic until he finally became sober. I never knew he had such a troubled career. He had to play some concerts lying on stage because he was too drunk to stand.
Also he snaked George Harrison by stealing his wife.

That is standard for most rock musicians of the 80's and 90's. Check out Greg Almans, Lynard Skynard, Prince, Micheal Jackson, the list goes on...
Clapton got buzzed on stage in the 70's and gave a shout out to some anti-immigration politician named Enoch Powell. He ended up being a prophet as the UK and Europe has gone to shit with the third world influx.
Read his autobiography. It's awesome. I saw him in the late 80's at the Cap Centre. The concert was about 45 minutes and he made several mistakes. When I read his autobiography I realized he was so fucked up he could hardly stand that night.
life in 12 bars is the documentary its pretty interesting. Eric must be one hell of a talent to play like he did totally fucked up all the time. Harrison must have been fucking pissed.

Uh like great breaking post OP. This has been well known for almost 40 years now.

I'd put Peter Green on the list, but not at the top.....
Stevie Ray
Jimmy Page
Johnny Winter
Eric Clapton
Roy Buchanan
Billy Gibbons
Alvin Lee
Duane Allman
Rory Gallagher
If you are from this area and got to see Roy Buchanan and/or Danny Gatton, consider yourself very fortunate. They are 2 of the best ever. I'd put Gatton on the list as well, but he really wasn't a blues player even though he kinda was.
Uh Thanks OP Wrote:

Forgive me for posting something I found interesting. The documentary was made last year. Why be suck a dick? I never said it was new information or 'breaking news' - why do you have to be such an asshole?

Say Rory Gallagher at the Bayou - loved that place
