It did sound like a minor domestic disturbance, one that got blown up into a more dangerous situation, culminating in the police shooting a man who was threatening to kill HIMSELF. There is something slightly wrong in that picture. Without a huge amount of "paint me a picture", which we are never going to get, it's almost impossible to know what SHOULD have happened. With total information, it's very hard to figure out what should have happened, but that should be done -- better training is what I am talking about.
