Most Metal high school in Fairfax County during the 1980s?

Every single high school in Fairfax County had metalheads but which high school had the most metalheads?

Which Fairfax County high school was more metal than everybody else during the 1980s?

Woodson was full of metalheads. My friend's brother went there in the 80's. He and his friends were Motley Crue/Ozzy/Metallica fanatics. Total dipshits.

I have been told both Oakton and Lake Braddock had more than their fair share but that Lee had everybody beat.

Literally 99% of Lee's students were metalheads.

Wow, Fairfax County sure has changed over the last 20-30 years. Kinda sad the way it is now.

You must be referring to the late eighties, because the early 80's Fairfax was classic rock and punk up until around 85.

Yeah there probably were not as many before 1985 compared to after 1985 but I am sure there were still plenty before 1985.

+1 for the Heavy Metal Parking Lot pics.

My favorite might be the third pic down where the guy in the white sleeveless shirt admits to being 20, and the girl 13. Quickly thereafter, they start makin' out like the plane is going down. Just can't be pure PWT. What a great flic.

The best person isn't in the pics. I like the red-headed, overweight, dim-witted girl who answers every question with "hell yeah," "party," etc. She's a gas.

zebraman Pictures, Images and Photos

.
"The most fascinating and ultimately sad segment comes at the end, when Krulick and Heyn track down a grown-up Zebraman, who owns an ugly suburban McHome, no longer listens to heavy metal (only country), and hardly even remembers going to the Priest concert in 1986. It's a fitting metaphor for the way that the passion of youth so quickly and decisively gives way to the conservatism and repression of so-called maturity. At least Dave Helvey doesn't seem to have changed at all."

Dave Helvey is the 20 y/o you describe .

These pictures are from "Rock and Roll Parking Lot" - Google and view on youtube. Filmed at Cap Centre before a Judas Priest concert. I know for a fact that the tall girl in the white dress showing her knee went to West Srpingfield. Her name is Sherrie.

I had some bizarre times in that parking lot. Back then it was pretty much a free for all.
I saw a lot of great shows there.

Sherrie Pearsall? If so, she still lives in the area and hasn't changed. Still metal.

Several of the people went to Laurel High School, though that is not in Fairfax County.

Sadly, some had graduated and were still hanging around parking lots.

He was a legend there. When I was a sophomore - he was a couple years out of high school. Every asian senior girl claimed to be his girlfriend.

I think Deuce was the name of his band.

Looking at his website I see,

Marty is from Washington D.C. originally but has lived in many places including Hawaii, Germany and California, giving him an odd and interesting approach to making his music. He currently resides in Tokyo.

Laurel MD - not Washington DC. And no mention of Deuce!
