Vox Media to cut 50 jobs

One digital-first player in the volatile journalism industry just said it would cut 50 jobs, or 5% of its workforce. Employees of Vox Media received an email this morning from company CEO Jim Bankoff, announcing the cuts and the offer of new roles to about a dozen staffers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The groups most impacted by the changes are shopping site Racked, real estate portal Curbed, sports news source SB Nation and the company's video services.
