I’m getting in shape and getting the gear ready to travel to Tibet and climb the greatest mountain on the lords planet. Anyone want to join on this expedition of life?
I’ve finally acquired great employees who can maintain my business while on this magnificent journey.

So your "expedition of life" involves spending a shit load of time and money to climb into a freezing death zone with little to no oxygen in a 3rd World country.

I'll skip the invite - but can I take out a multi-million dollar key man life insurance policy on you before you go?

You want adventure climb K2 - Everest is a tourist trap where you drop 60k to spend a month dodging snow turds and garbage every ten feet. The sherpas are the ones doing the real work while you walk your pampered milky body up the slopes on fixed ropes someone has labored to set up for you.

That's exactly what he wants. This tool will be completely insufferable if he actually makes it back. I'm sure the Sherpas are used to obnoxious assholes, but if anyone can test their limits it will be 'libs hate America'. The term 'unfortunate accident' comes to mind.

Unless you can name some other peaks you've climbed, I call total bullshit.

It's not a matter of "getting in shape". It's about experience dealing with high-altitude climbing.

Started in the Rockys and Sierra Nevada , then Denali today was Mt McKinley back then then two other 8000 thousanders before I got to Everest and the other 8000 meter ones were more of a bitch then Everest was because of all the cheats up there fixed ropes, ladders

It's skiing back down that's a blast. I did that once a couple of years ago - holy shit! What a blast! My friends were video-recording it at various strategic locations on the slope (yeah, I know that dates me) but it turns out really cold air fucks up video tape! So, no vid - you'll just have to take me at my word.

The lack of oxygen really is a bummer - was really running out of breath the last miel (vertical mile that is!) up. In all fairness, there was a lot more oxygen in the air in those days and less CO2, so it was a bit more breathable at the top. Now? I wouldn't try it. although I guess it's at least a few degrees warmer.

Skiing is for amateurs. When I summitted Everest last year i took the only way down. A BASE jump. Hurtling myself into the vast Himalayan landscape, i sailed and soared my way onto the Tibetan plateau, landing in a small mountain village. Afterwards the buddhist monks treated me to a celebratory feast at P.F. Chang’s. An experience I shan’t soon forget!

Chomolungma , Tibetans name for Mt Everest, no wonder they treated you so well at P.F Changs, I received no respect , the only thing I did was set up a handgun vending machine at the summit, so far only a few blokes have bought any, no one else even cares but those British blokes as they are so deprived at home

But I have to confess, I did not climb the thing. I used the rope tope installed on the north side for wealthy Chinese tourists.

Loved the Starbucks at the summit. The Burger King was sub par, but BK usually IS sub par. Supposedly, they're going to put in a Subway shop soon, and perhaps even an Arthur Treacher's (some Hong Kong plastic dog toy mogul is apparently nuts about fish and chips).

Do not use the public restrooms provided by the Nepalese government. Cold, dank, and filthy! Use the facilities at the Starbucks.

There's a kind of half-assed tavern, with an abysmally limited assortment of booze. (They don't give a shit - the Chinese don't know any better and will drink anything.) You can bring your own, however there is a steep corkage fee. If I were you, I'd go ahead and bring my own and pay the fee.

I’m a little long in tooth but I walked up that hill back in ‘53. I got up real early one morning and snuck out the tent in the dark to get a head start on the on my mates. It was bloody cold and I stubbed my foot a few times but made the summit at sunrise. I’ll never forget the look on Edmund and Tenzing’s faces when I offered them a couple of vegimite sandwiches. They were pissed and never talked to me again. Oh bloody fucking well.

I’m glad at least someone else here supports our constitution. When I make my trek from Kathmandu this April I will arrive at Everest base camp fully prepared. My AR-15 will be strapped to my back the whole trip, to protect my Sherpa assistants from the thing they fear the most: the Yeti. I am prepared to stand my ground and refuse to let its hairy, ape-like presence threaten our journey.

You’d need at least 2+ months off. It takes over a month just from base camp to summit. It’s not Old Rag, you can’t just drive up to the base and start climbing. You spend a few weeks going up and down to higher camps just to get acclimated and get your gear & route settled. That takes over a month. Then tack on 2 weeks at both ends just to trek to the base camp and back to civilization. Plus you want to give yourself an extra week or two in the middle, in case the weather doesn’t allow summit attempts. If the OP is for real, he’d actually be leaving for Nepal in mid March if he was really trying to climb it this season.

Mount Everest. It’s not a hill. Chumbawumba, as it is known to the Tibetans, is the ultimate challenge in high altitude trekking. Something a libtard could never achieve.

K2 is a death trap. I remember reading somewhere that like 1/3 of the people who've made a summit attempt on K2 have died. Alot of people make it up Everest every season whereas K2 goes completely un-climbed some years.

I remember the house that always avoided paying me or my brother, they wouldn't answer the door and were just weird about paying the paper bill. We dumped pee on their car more than once and used to throw rocks at their house and dogs when they weren't home. The 80s were fun, nowadays they'd think you're a psycho if you did that shit.

You might want to do some training runs on Mt. Trashmore in Fairfax - at the Fairfax County Landfill off Piney Branch Road over by the Ox Road CostCo.

The Ass-Scent is terrifying. The D-Scent is horrific.

Instead of Sherpa's to guide you, you get guys on work-release from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center with ankle bracelets. An interpreter is recommended. They speak Jive or Spanglish or mumble in angry grunts.

When I did my Everest climb w/o oxygen there were Sherpas crossing over rickety aluminum ladders carrying like 80 pound packs for lazy entitled libtards who were drunk and bitching at them. After the Sherpas had safely crossed, and it was the libtards turn, I ran over and kicked the ladder and half a dozen libtards went tumbling into the crevasse. The Sherpa's cheered and started clapping. I tipped them each $1500 bucks.
