FLoydFest 2018

So I seen that Greta Van Fleet is playing at Floyd Fest this summer, that is a huge step in the right direction. I always thought it was a deadhead festival with real stoners, but if they're inviting bands like GVF and Foster the People it sounds like it will be kick ass. Has anybody been there? Thinking about staying near Blackskburg then ubering down there for the day. If you don't know Greta Van Fleet check it out, they're like a new Led Zeppelin.

There’s a lot of different music around Floyd throughout the year. Mostly bluegrass jugband stuff and also a lot of deadhead hippy music, like real underground type jamming. occassionally they’ll even have an acid rock act, you’d be surprised.

Yeah that festival’s all hippy, i’ve been to it, a lot of folk music bands with fiddles, we even saw some dreadlocked hippy guy in a baja jacket dance around playing the flute on stage, the crowd was going nuts. Tons of tye dye, hemp necklaces, and people who like Phish in the crowd.
