Poor No Longer Forced to Buy Healthcare, Can Go Back To Ripping Off the System

Free healthcare for the poor is back!!!! Thanks Trump!!! You no longer have to buy healthcare. You can go back to using the emergency room and then never pay it.

Suckers paying for healthcare will pick up the bill in higher premiums.

And now they won't be penalized by having to pay for it in Obamacare.

Free health care never left. Over 80% of those on Obamacare were subsidized by federal tax dollars. Half of those who received a subsidy were getting 100% of their costs subsidized. It was nothing but free health care for the poor.

A noble cause to be sure. But a complete lie as it was sold the taxpayers of this country.

In the end, Obamacare just ended up being an expansion of Medicare to the poor. Most of it was funded by federal tax dollars either being redistributed to the states of directly to the doctors/practitioners/providers. Like Medicare, many providers started limiting the number of Obamacare patients they would take.

It wasn't necessarily a good or bad thing (both POV could be argued) but it was sold as something that it was not. Obama lied about it to get to pass Congress. That is one of the reasons the democrats were decimated in the out years. The only people who benefited from it were already pretty solidly democrat voters.

President Bush the Magnificent signed into law that Hospitals could not turn away for care anyone whose health is life threatening.

It was Republican conservatism that saved life. Note also the (as passed / original) law does NOT offer free care for illegals. It DOES issue debt but, due to bankruptcy, the law admits there is not always a way to collect (that no cruel actions would be taken to collect).

Because it’s not really insurance anymore if you are allowed to buy health insurance with a pre-existing condition.

It’s as if Obama Forced GEICO to let you buy car insurance AFTER you get in a car accident. NOG LOGIC 101.

This threads topic is inaccurate. The federal government under Obamacare is selling insurance. It's unconstitutional. A citizen that was forced to purchase the insurance may have never used it and most likely did not. Therefore health care was never provided.

Also, there is the unconstitutional fine if you choose to practice your constitutional rights and not buy a product from the federal government, which many states like Virginia have written into their constitution that their. Citizens are protected from this fine. Still, it WAS an unconstitutional law. The supreme Court found it unconstitutional and called obamacare a tax. So, now it's not even health insurance, it's just another dumbass way for the AMERICA hating liberals to steal more money from the lower class.

Thank God we have president Trump who has turned back everything Obama did to punish Americans for being free.

comparing car insurance to health insurance is ridiculous. The ACA was formed because of this exact mindset. People should have access to healthcare regardless of their health. The profit motive should not be involved in the healthcare system. You don't need a car to survive, so that comparison is stupid.

One of the key reasons the economy and America became stable was because Americans felt secure under Obama. Trump is creating an unstable America like Bush did.

Republicans need to learn that destabilizing the economy brings depressions. Unfortunately, the goal of Republicans is to funnel taxpayer dollars to the ultra-rich.

Hey, faggot, I was explaining (correctly) why health insurance prices kept going up. The car insurance analogy is 100% spot on. If GEICO was forced to sell car insurance to everyone even after the car accident already happened, you don’t think car insurance prices will keep going up ??

As for healthcare being a right and not a privilege, where the fuck is that in the US Constitution? Fuck you asswipe!! You’re just another parasite wanting free and free.

"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". I believe healthcare would fall under the category of "life", although not explicitly calling for free healthcare, the Constitution, it could be argued does call for it. It's always confounded me how we have taken an issue like healthcare and politicized it.

This is not a political issue in other countries. Liberals and conservatives in virtually every country recognize the utility of at least partially subsidized healthcare. Attitudes here are changing, and it's only inevitable we will have single-payer healthcare here as well, but it will probably be another 15 years before we see it.

Healthcare is available to everyone. But you just want it free or heavily subsidized by the healthy.

I get zero-cost health insurance from my employer. I work for it. I am genetically very gifted and healthy. I haven’t had a cold in years. My grandfather lived to triple digits and my father will easily too and probably so will I. Why should I pay for your poor health choices,
Crappy diet and/or inferior genes?? Fuck You!!!

It isn't available to you, if you are refused coverage because of a previous condition. That's unethical, and inhumane and un-American IMO. Not everyone is as fortunate as you or I as I am in the same boat as you as far as coverage and "genetics". That doesn't mean I wish to see the less fortunate get swept up shit's creek.

That's not how single-payer, or universal healthcare works. I believe your attitude, which I know is shared by many is caused by a misunderstanding.

Universal healthcare, like Britain's National Healthcare System or NHS is not charity. It isn't "free" in any sense of the word. You are paying to receive a service.

Everyone within the system pays for the system according to their means, and everyone within the system receives care according to their needs.

Don't think of such healthcare systems as someone taking "your" money to pay for "someone else". Think of it as a really really big jar that everyone in the country puts money into. When someone comes down with pneumonia and needs treatment, the hospital gets money out of the pot for said treatment.

When you have a terrible car accident and need emergency surgery to repair a fractured skull, no worries, the "pot" pays for it.

It wasnt the poor that had to pay - they got waivers and Medicaid. The people that no longer have to buy healthcare are the young and able with income. They held up the pools.

Trumpcare will offer not affordable option for those not eligible for Medicaid and yes they will end up in the ER and going bankrupt and yes all our costs will increase as a result.

Obamacare is now Trumpcare. Obamacare was repealed with the tax cut.

To tell the truth, I prefer the insurance companies that have a proven reputation. Indeed, I know many cases when people paid for years money for their insurance, but in conclusion they didn't get the money after the accident case. That's why when we decided to make the Medicare plan for our family I spent a lot of time to study all the companies in our market and choose the best one. And finally, I found some useful videos on medicarefaq.com according to different options and I found it tasted. Indeed, I am very pleased with the terms they offered us.

Indeed, we must take the utmost care of our health and it is a pity that few people realize this in time. For example, I went through many years in which I made fun of my health and my body, and only after I suffered from certain diseases did I realize that I have to change something and that I cannot continue in this way. I started eating properly, doing sports and in addition, Larson Chiropractic and acupuncture helped me a lot to get rid of the old problems I had, reducing chronic pain symptoms and reoccurring inflammation. Have you ever tried this type of massage?

Still better than sleepy Joe who is about to chase off all the big corporation from the US. I have some big doubts on how he will be able to make this country better than what Trump left it. I think as an entrepreneur I should just feel lucky that companies like https://datica.com/blog/it-developers-guide-to-fhir-for-healthcare exist and I can at least get guidance on how to FHIR compliant as I'm trying to create a new online healthcare system. I just hope the new measures will not affect the health care industry as well.
