Moore is a conservative Republican running in a heavily conservative Republican state against a Democratic candidate who is pro-choice and pro LGBT rights. Trump carried the state by almost 25 points and Sessions won his last contested election by a similar margin. On paper it should not even be close, and I still think Moore will win. The fact Jones has managed to mount an effective campaign shows how weak a candidate Moore is and how much Trump has damaged the GOP brand.
