Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Construction crews are erecting eight looming prototypes of President Trump's border wall in a remote section of the San Diego borderlands. Four are solid concrete; four are made of steel and concrete; one is topped with spikes. They all approach 30 feet in height. Customs and Border Protection is paying $20 million to six construction companies......

Just saw a story that they've arrested at least a dozen Mexicans inside the construction fences and some had pictures of the prototypes on their cell phones. Fucking Mexicans. Hope they electrify this sucker and fry 'em if they try and get over, under or through it.

That's more like it. I hope they don't use stainless steel either. The rusted metal edges will be much more infectious.

Cool, the wetbacks could run remote control toy cars till the machine guns run out then they could steal the hardware! MAGA
Also who maintains the guns? Loads them cleans them every few days - pretty dusty out there. No matter Mexico will pay us for the remote control machine guns pointed at them.

How about not letting rich coal companies pour toxic poison and heavy metals into streams that supply drinking water?
Even if you have to manufacture problems like illegal immigration - why throw 30 billion at a solution that wont work. A fence will just be a huge government waste of money. How is this good?

A wall wont help - if you think it will that really is the end of the discussion here. Remote areas would be too hard to maintain and guard and would offer little more to slow people down than the landscape itslef.
But the real point is GOP is claiming a huge problem where none exists - to create a huge expensive govt program. There is no massive cost of illegal immigration.
A 2007 report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office examined 29 reports on state and local costs published over 15 years in an attempt to answer this question. CBO concluded that most of the estimates determined that illegal immigrants impose a net cost to state and local governments but "that impact is most likely modest." CBO said "no agreement exists as to the size of, or even the best way of measuring, that cost on a national level."

Don't worry about it. Let us grown ups take care of it.
"SAN DIEGO — Workers toiled in intense 95-degree heat here Tuesday, putting final touches on eight possible versions of President Donald Trump's long-promised border wall.
As an Oct. 26 deadline to finish the prototype border-wall designs drew near, The Arizona Republic toured the construction site a few dozen yards from the border that divides this city from neighboring Tijuana, Mexico.

Emblematic of Trump Supporters - dont worry, it will be great, fantastic HUGE, Mexico will pay for it. Meanwhile its take nearly a year and 20 million dollars to build 160 feet in a lot in CA - but dont worry the 'grown-ups' will bang out the 2000 miles and 5000 guards in a couple weeks.
With people this stupid the US is doomed. really doomed.

I guess I know what fake news MSCNN is spreading.

Yeah let’s just store radioactive material out in the open where anyone like ISIS, neo nazi’s, or North Korea could get their hands on it to build dirty bombs. Brilliant.
