Which is what I said. The whole ER room thing was just a nonsense attempt at justification for Obamacare to begin with. People who go to the ER for care go there regardless whether or not they have insurance. When they do have insurance, they will tend to go in larger numbers. As they have.

These subsidies do not affect the poor. That's a separate pool of money. No, they did not jack up prices in anticipation. That's not how it works. The rates are approved in advance and for this year were submitted and approved back in August. In a few cases, e.g., Colorado, the state insurance boards had them submit two sets of rates, which to be approved subject to later determination. In either case, as above, the rates do not affect subsidies to the poor. They affect those at 250% of poverty level and above.

Increases in premium prices are not due to Trump. Trump has done nothing to affect prices other than just this past week. Rates already were submitted and set back in August (based on actuarial data for the pools given previous year's experience) and were +20% higher before that even happened. The higher costs are due mostly to fatal flaws in Obamacare which create a much higher risk pool than the policy dreamers expected since young healthy people aren't stupid enough to pay 3X what they otherwise should be paying.

This failure will ALWAYS be OBAMACARE.
