Mean Spirited Country
Posted by: Vince(1) ()
Date: November 09, 2009 09:54AM

It seems as if every day this country becomes a little more mean spirited...more intrusive in people's personal lives...according the Washington Post the House Health Care Bill has a provision that would stop a women from paying for an abortion even out of her own money. And that the leading Senate bill has a provision which would stop undocumented workers from paying for private medical insurance out of their own pockets. These republican/blue dog democrat proposals are stupid as well as mean spirited.

Hopefully calmer heads will prevail in the end. In the meantime I am making a donation to Planned Parenthood.

From all that money you roll in from a GS employee pension, right?

That's really the saddest thing about Vince; he dictates to everyone that they should work harder like the industrious illegal aliens while he sits back and lets America's tax dollars flow into his bank account without lifting a finger.

And in typing that, I suddenly realize why he identifies with illegal immigrants so much.

You guys are breaking my heart...you should pass a law saying anyone getting a federal pension cant give their money to fund abortions or undocumented workers. America...where freedom rings...and democracy allows for the subjugation of the minority at the hands of the majority.

If that's what the majority wants, then I would say the democratic process is working just fine.

Of course, we don't live in a democracy, but we all know facts don't concern you.

In all the Federal agencies I ever contracted at, the "GS Employee" rarely had anything to do with work. Most of the time they performed about 1 hour of "real" labor every day to justify their existence, but there was real pressure from their peers if they came in and started getting "too much" done. It might make the others look bad. In later years (Post 911) it got better - but the only places you saw folks that consistently "worked hard" were in functions related to the Military or DHS.

Not disputing what you say, but I've worked around a bunch of DCIPS folks that were as useful as a book end. The GS-12s and 13s I answered to were so unqualified for their job it was appalling.

EDIT: They've changed the pay structure from the old General Schedule to some merit based program, but I've heard from quite a few people that the new system has become extremely political.

Blessed are the murderous.

Yeah, with a ghetto-nigga as "President" it was a certainty that the country would become mor vulgar, hateful, and violent. And if planned parenthood would concentrate their efforts in Watyts and Harlem, that would be a start. So give 'em yo money, it's a great idwea

The federal government is notorious for "its not in my job description" to explain why something is not done. And as long as that is true, they don't have to do it. They can choose to do it, but there is no incentive to do so - as a matter of fact the system is designed to discourage working outside your box.

Id say they were even more mean spirited...but I didnt realize this we were in a race to the bottom of the barrel. But after reading the comments above...I guess we are.

My experience with Civil Servants is that they are dedictaed to their jobs as any private company employee....maybe more so....except of course those working on commision who would sell you their dead grandmother just to make a buck.

I agrre the United States is a stupid, nasty and mean-spirited country. And I also agree we are in a free fall to the bottom of the barrel. With that idiot negro as "president", this country is quickly becoming a filthy backwards thrid-world cesspool like all the other countries under black rule.

The country has gotten more mean spirited lately, and it has little to do with Tea Baggers and such. You hear the words "more bipartisan" and they actually mean nothing. I think what we are seeing today is that lying in the name of politics has become something acceptable for politicians to do - at least in their own minds. We see more and more of it today - they have no qualms at all about making bald faced lies in front of a camera, and then act like it is the folks on the other side that have the problem. This is happening on both sides of the aisle, but lately it has been ratcheted up to a new art form by the left.

That isn't that farfetched. The federal government tries to completely control many things it at least partially or indirectly funds, and is always looking to add to the list.

That's why I really like these "Tea Parties", because people are starting to align themselves with an ideology more so than any one Party.

I think it's pretty difficult to trump the lies that got us into Iraq. You might be surprised I differ in opinion about who tells the biggest lies still...death panels..Obama is a racist...health care reform being the biggest threat to freedom....on and on it goes...the republican party has a factory to produce lies.

If Obama takes this health care reform where he hopes, would be be so accommodating should you learn your retirement health plan has been elminated and you're rolled into the Public Option at a cost of upwards to 23% of your income, deducted from your monthly retirement check?

This is how it's done in European countries - a system you seem to like so much.

If that occurs as part of the Bill it wont be because of the left lying...it'll occur because the republicans are vindictive against government employess. The government option is supposed to be optional...voluntary...employers are fined for dropping private insurance in favor of the public plan...it is the republican party that is forcing government employees into the public option. I am resigned...I cant control the hate the republican party has for civil servants.

Ah, so now the truth comes out. You're all gung ho about the rest of American's health care being jerked out from under them, just as long as they don't touch yours.

Why do you think the town hall meetings were so "well attended?" The majority of Americans want the same thing as you - LEAVE MY HEALTH INSURANCE ALONE.

FYI: The public option is not optional for anyone who wants it - it's for people who fall within the government's guidelines for poverty and those who can't buy insurance within 16% of their income - fewer than 10% of Americans.

Oh boy a trick question...and filled with lies as usual. Nothing in the bill is forcing your employer to drop private health insurace and force you onto the public plan. If they do so it will be their decision..not the Govt's. But the fact is every day employers are deciding to drop people from health insurance policies and nothing is offered to those people...nothing. And of course no one likes to be forced to anything including myself...but am I demonstrating against healthcare refrom because of republican plans to single me out and take away my healthcare plan. No! I'll decide what to do about those republicans and democrats later.

You know what's interesting to me about the whole abortion debate...those typically against abortion sit on the right of the political fence. Those very people who scream against abortion or the very ones that scream against welfare or help to look after that child when it's born. That baby is sacred, sacred, but once it's born it's on its own. If you're going to be against abortion then you should morally also be for welfare/healthcare/education rights. But more often than not they don't give two cents of care once that child is born. Makes no sense to me at all.

Hahahahha....Get fucking real.

About 4 years ago I had to go to the records office at a federal agency to research some case material. My paralegals came up with zero, so I went myself.

Not one, but two "civil servants" in the main files annex were busy counting sheep in their cubicles...

I deal with enough to know that most can't find their genitals with both hands and a map, and it would take three weeks and several different forms to even try.

Not that he knows how to cite sources or post facts himself. I will still post my facts, but I will never expect Vince to take the time to actually understand them.

First off, every American already has "Education Rights", it's called the Public School System.

Second, Welfare is an overly abused system which is often exploited by lazy porch monkeys who would rather sit around all day popping out babies, than they would in either getting a job, using contraception, or a combination of both.

Third, Health Care is not the issue, but Health Insurance is. The vast majority of Americans are covered by Health Insurance, and amongst those who are not, a sizeable number of them are that way by choice. Those who are truly in need of coverage are an extreme minority, and passing one 2,000 page nightmare of a bill isn't necessary in helping them.

Wow..I can see why you rely on cut and pasting so much...a rather inarticulate response...with no substance. I guess the truth hurts. As far as the "serves you right" remark..I think that attitude is the source of the titular subject...mean spirited..you are a trur representative of the republican party...whos motto is...I'll fuck them every chance I get!

I guess no one ever told you it's best to remain silent and let people THINK your'e an idiot, rather than open your mouth (or tap the keyboard) and confirm it.

You are not doing well at all at digging yourself out of the hole you made. And I seriously doubt anyone is going to toss you a rope.

I'd suggest you give up while you're behind, but you seem to take such great pleasure in making a fool of yourself, I'm sure you will will continue to pursue your passion. And, you can pull easily it off when your two strongest attributes are strong shoulders and a weak mind.

I think you all have stepped over the line of reality this time...but actually all youve done is prove my point. Most of you are mean spirited people in a mean spirited country. Calling other hard working people lazy...wishing the worse for someone...claiming you have the "facts" while everyone else is wrong. Im here to discuss an issue...you know of lazy govt worker?...tell me what govt workers you deal with? What do I get bqck...generalities! You claim Obama is pushing everyone to the Govt plan....and the law encourages just the opposite with penalities. I want to suggest that you all pull your heads out of your collective asses and calm down.

Vince, you magnificent asshole, you've done it again! Your utter lack of perspicacity, perplexing inability to recognize irony and your obvious congenital stupidity continue to provide so much amusement on FU!

Nice one, Gravman... Happy VD... And it is, apparently, a bad idea to mess with blisters.

Stellar. LOL.

Seriously, what kind of dumbshit are you Vince to come here every day and post, and get 99.9% of what you say either totally ignored, or completely torn apart?

I think in this particular subject/OP, you named yourself. You are the most hateful person that posts on here - SERIOUSLY. I am sure you think somehow your shit smells of roses.

Again, it is obvious why you "retired". You might want to follow a similar plan here - you really are just a small minded, shallow, clueless individual. The fact that you don't understand why you are a huge flaming racist is just indicative of how deluded you are.

Now you've done it! It's going to take Vince an hour to read your message - after he finds his dictionary so he can look up all the big words.

Remember, Vince was a government worker - held to much lower standard than the rest of the workforce.

So did you get forced into retirement, or decide to jump ship after enough bad reviews?

Vince old boy, most of the government employees I worked around spent 80% of their day online.

and that goes for most of you all. Id;ve

I doubt you ever made it to a supervisory role, if you did you would know it takes a lot more than surfing the internet to get a PIP. You do know what a PIP is, right Vince?

Blessed are the murderous.
