Vets didn't fight so that we could live in a country where people are forced against their will to stand during a song. How ridiculous is that?

NO. This is America and people have rights and freedoms.

Nothing needs to be done. We would all be better served if those that chose to disrespect our country would simply be ignored and left be. People can do whatever they want. If the America-hating media would not shine a spotlight on every anti-American activity it would not be an issue.

I watched my buddies die face down in the muck defending our freedoms. My buddies gave their lives to defend peoples rights to not stand up.

Just ignore them. The only people that do it are elitist democrats who hate America so what difference does it make? They are dying out pretty fast.

I think they should be butt stroked with an AR-15 if they dont't stand. Selfish, greedy and free loading bastards.

Or the ones who screw up the words or play with their phones?
Or the real losers who think it's a good time to take a leak and buy a beer?
Those people bother me more because they are the same ones who criticise the folks not standing but see no wrong in their actions.

Well, if the media started doing segments on these disrespectors, focused their cameras on them, and stirred things up. Maybe people would get worked up about it. For the most part we ignore these types as well other than to cast disapproving glares at them.

That being said, if you can't tell the difference between casual and stupid disregard and intentional look-at-me disrespect you are being disingenuous.

It's all fine but soon if u disrespect the Quran people will call u a racist and stuff like that, if people truly have freedom to not salute flag fine, but I want the same fresdoms without scum saying what IM doin is wrong

So what, ignore them. Nobody ran quicker than some of the soldiers/sailors/airmen ( I was stationed at Fort Myer and worked at Pentagon) when they sounded Retreat and the lowering of the Flag. There would move fast to get indoors so they would not have to stand at attention when flag came down.

I've served in the USN lo these many years and I honestly don't care if you sit during the anthem. This is the U.S. do what you want but cause no harm. I don't know why we play the anthem at every sporting event. Makes no sense. Sports are entertainment.
