We, the executive board members of the Jim H*nson Company and it's associated Workshops, regret to inform all members of the general public, both nationally and internationally that, as of today, August 23, 2017, our members have unanimously decided to cease production and promotion of all future educational and/or instructional materials associated with the letter E. In light of recent national events and the past atrocities committed by an individual with "the letter that shall no longer be named" as a middle initial, we find it completely irresponsible and quite reprehensible for a company such as ours to continue to provide an outlet for this offensive vowel to pollute the impressionable minds of our youth. We implore other multinational companies and corporations to follow our lead in condemning the actions of right wing Phoenicians who brought about the genesis of this destructive symbol. We feel that it is in the best interest of our company to remove all traces of this letter - including the schwa and accent mark in the Spanish lexicon - from marketing and advertising slogans. It's time for this country to begin the process of healing and we feel that this necessary movement, while currently opposed by 62% of the United States, will lead to a more understanding, caring, and diverse population.
