He was a great General and honored graduate from West Point. He was a true Gentleman in character. He never swore, smoked,and he didn't drink. He was polite and pleasant and well groomed. He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of all , he was a Virginian! He wasn't a traitor, because he defended his home state of Virginia , and did not turn his back on his people. He should be honored as one of the great Virginians in history!

There will be a correction to what is going on now. The worst is when ignorance rules or the PTB give into whining ignorant people because of fear of what they will do.

For every decision they is a future consequence. Failing to educate future generations will cause more issues, wait and see. When future generations discover that people got angry at statues, they will understand how literally fucked up this era was.

We are in the era of insanity where a small portion of the populace whines and Powers that Be Cower and give in to senseless causes and accommodate ignorance then everyone else has to pay the price for the decision made.

He should not be honored. His name should be filed with Custer and Rumsfeld as three of the worst military strategists in our country's history. He was a traitor by taking up arms against his own country. He depleted the Confederate army by moving most of its forces to Virginia, a state he knew he would eventually lose to the North, allowing Sherman to march toward and through Atlanta with little resistance. In his only offensive move, he invaded Pennsylvania, and got his ass kicked.

Do us all a favor. There are historians out there who have studied Lee's writings, and actions, and have concluded your opinion is hogwash. Before you continue trying to whitewash history, read the following article by someone who actually knows the history of the Civil War, and Robert E. Lee. I can post more historical information for you later, but please start with this one now.
