If I could make a decent living doing it full time, I would! Since everything seems to be throw away quality anymore it would be tough to be competitive and make any real money.

I build all kinds of furniture and have taken to guitars. When I cut a piece of wood it looks like the tree grew that way.

Getting money, any way I can.

Gotta pay to have a roof over the head, eat, taxes, transportation, etc etc etc...you can't live in Fairfax County without making at least 100k to be comfortable and not worry- and since i make a little less than that on the 9-5- to the side hustles I go to make more money.

There is an endgame- I have my eye on some properties out in the country near (but not so close to be destroyed by) water and have spoken to a few home builders- only renting this crappy TH one more year I should have enough to pull the trigger- frankly waiting on he financial collapse where all the old baby boomers will have to sell off their land/properties in a fire sale and I will be there to profit.....

Yes Linseed oil is very dangerous. I don't use it though. I sprayed the cabinet with lacquer. It's made of figured cherry that I got at Dunlap Hardwoods in Chantilly. They have a GREAT selection of figured lumber. Their bread and butter is making stocks for replica flint lock rifles made in Italy by Uberti.
