Most people view Meade once out of curiosity and then never bother with him again.

He has spent the 20 years since high school pursuing a career in the entertainment field at the expense of getting a real job and what little he has to show for it is what is listed on his wiki page.


He isn't even a "has been" because he is a "never was".

He isn't to blame all by himself.

Those who encourage his pipe dream have some culpability of his failure for not caring enough about him to tell him the truth.

Have to kind of disagree. His Sweet Tea video took notice from several well known blogs- including Death and Taxes. He was a featured extra in a Hollywood movie. He put out several good songs as well. He put himself on the map.

Any decent eesh porn thread gets more hits than that freakin' video.

All of us are of course concerned for his welfare, both financial and mental, and would like to see him get a day job.

Unfortunately, Meade is desparately intent on continuing to pursue a music career.

So, the only way we can help him is to do whatever we can to advance that career.

The question is, HOW? Anyone here on their company's entertainment committee, so you can land him a corporate gig? Anybody on any civic events boards; let him play at your annual town festival? Is anyone working in media? Can you give him some good press? Do we have any political types who can arrange for him to play rallies?

He's on a downward spiral. His progressive church video indicates he's emotionally unhinged. He made a vid about using social media to get famous - that very vid has gotten only 300 hits. His only other advertisement is to attach his business card to balloons. Not only is this a silly idea on its face, but prevailing winds are going to carry these balloons to explode uselessly over the Atlantic. Thus, he can't land any gigs on his own.

So please, if you are in a position to help him, or just have some useful ideas, do step up!

He has a side hustle with Uber. Possibly he could get another side hustle with Lyft. I'm sure his car is good to go, because he got a vehicle inspection by the one and only Pat Goss

Meade needs to commit some heinous crimes so he can get life in prison. Free food, free housing, free mental health care.

How is he closer to "stardom"? Define "stardom"? Making a decent living? Being able to support a family? Being recognized by your peers as someone who is an authority in their chosen profession? I think one or two of us would fit that definition. Would Meade be even close to any of that?

Singing for free at a farmers market or coffee shop for half a dozen people who watch for less than a minute is not close to stardom in his profession. There are stars in every line of work. Think about the equivalent stardom in ANY other profession and compare it to the success Meade has enjoyed.

Meade is one of the most respected musicians in Virginia. His talent has been seen all over the country and around the year via You Tube. He is one of the most focused singer/songwriters of this generation. Hopefully he will be able to finalize the construction of his studio soon. Meade is an expert with Pro Tools, and I see some huge hits coming soon.

Meade should ask Wayne Newton for some money. Or at least Newton could give Meade a lock of his hair. It would be worth a lot of money on EBay.

Meade is a national treasure and is one of the greatest musicians Virginia has ever produced.

Meade is certainly worthy of a Wikipedia article. The problem may have been trying to credit him purely as a "singer". Meade is an actor and performer who also does some singing. He is more famous for being a celebrity comedian and social commentator.

Meade's page has been deleted at least 5 times. This is a sacrilege.

The most recent iteration of Meade's Wikipedia page was archived January 26, 2020. The page was not much to speak of and was dinged for Meade not being notable enough as a singer. In his next page, Meade would be well advised to listen to what his fans are telling him. Meade is far more than a singer. Too bad. I'm wondering about the "vintage sportscoat" reference though. Meade typically wears just a collared shirt or t-shirt, and only rarely wears any sort of suit jacket or blazer.
