I love this country. Arueably, more than many of you on the right. That's at least the way I see it though, but respect your opinion...state your case.

I love this country and have always been proud. My dad died serving this country in the Army. I have more pride available to give but am shocked and embarrassed at what we are now and may become. I'm disappointed.

Many will say that if you don't hold blind faith and allegiance to your nation, you are not a true patriot. But I care so much, that I see where Trump is bringing us is sad and worrisome.

It's like with one of your children, when they mis-behave, act up, and behave crappy despite all your best efforts and parenting, it hurts...like a betrayal of trust. I'm shamed of our nation right now and expect better. I expect better because I care. Perhaps more than you. "If you are not outraged, you are not paying attention."

You expect better because our country is better than this. Better than the 45th president comparing the first president to a traitor rebel general.

They tried to protect us from tyrants, they knew of the dangers. They have protected us from this tyrant and imbecile. Even though the people that voted him in don't deserve to live in such a republic.

I would say this to you. The country is being stress tested right now but even a cursed president can't destroy her or take away our freedoms. I would say the true test of a great nation and democracy is not how resilient it is when it has great leaders but how well it weathers the bad ones.

Even in timed like these there is a lot to be proud of. The idea of America and liberty is eternal. All these truths are self evident. We will be stronger for it and there is no time we should be more proud then now. Your country needs you now

Thanks for your sacrifice. I see it much the same way you do. The destructive element that is the fascist movement is starting to tear this country apart and Trump has not only given them a platform but has supported the alt right fringe to bolster his ego. The alt right fringe are all that is left of his base support and he can't bring himself to denounce them. What's of even greater concern is that the rank and file republicans won't stand up and denounce these zealots because the GOP needs their votes. Where are the Patriots we elected? They are gutless cowards who don't have big enough balls to oust Bannon and his ilk from the white house staff.

meh, I'm retiring in 6 years and moving out of the Country. This Country isn't what it used to be and it will not get back to that glorious state again. This Country is weak and decadent when it comes to instilling true justice for its' victims. Immigrants coming from their 3rd World shithole Countries are not contributing to making this Country a better place. They don't even want to fight to bring their 3rd World shithole Country out of despair. They come here and live off the Gov't teat. People here are just fucked up.....look at me I'm gay, look at me I'm LGBT, look at me I identify myself as Black. Society is spiraling downward.

Sad to see this happen. My dad(R.I.P.) served this Country along with all other service personnel and politicians just push aside its' veterans. We send our troops to fight in other Countries to save them but neglect our Country. Do you know how hard this Country would be to take over? Our military has guns, our police have guns, and citizens have guns. We are armed up the ass but yet we go and fight in another Country where it won't have any impact on us. In order to invade a Country you need a Navy. How many Countries out there really have what you call a Navy?!?!? We send our troops over there because war is $$$$$$ and that is what the politicians want, more $$$$$.

Yep, it's time to leave here for a more sensible Country. Sad to leave since I haven't really seen much of this Country but why hang around to see it fail.
