BYE BYE NAZIS

Google (GOOG, GOOGL) is cancelling the domain for the white supremacist site Daily Stormer due to a “specific, immediate concern about inciting violence,” a spokesperson told Yahoo Finance.

Damn thats an extremely rare and harsh move by google. Google strongly resists such action. The Nazis have pissed off the titans. Now they will see what power really means.

Google is a private entity. It can host what websites it will, it can decline to host what websites it will. Google is not required to respect the U.S. Constitution. Ultra-rights would do well to remember that they do not like it when restaurants have to serve blacks or bakers have to serve gays. The rightists state that it should be the restaurants' or the bakers' decision. Allright, so this is Google's decision, correct?

That's incorrect. In the first place, they aren't hosting anything. They are acting as an agent for ICAAN to register domains on the Internet not some hosting on their own systems.

Second, if they can independently and arbitrarily decide what is "offensive" then that opens up the door for all kinds of bans. An equal argument could be made against #BLM and many associated black hate sites for "concern about inciting violence." There are LOTS of sites supporting ISIS and other groups that are far worse than either that they have not acted against.

All of which is why smarter libtards than you at the ACLU defended in court the white nationalist's group's rights to protest in Charlottesville.

Whatever it is they are doing, do they not get to decide if they are going to do it? Is Google registering ISIL websites? If Google does not want to do whatever it is doing for Stormfront, Stormfront can go somewhere else and get it done, correct?

...........and WHO are you calling a "libtard"? If you read even half of what I have posted to this forum, you would know that I am much harder on the Left than I am on the Right. You are falling into the trap into which even the Mainstream Left always falls: You assume that anyone who disagrees with you on even the smallest thing, or, who turns your arguments against you on one point is in automatic lockstep with your opponents. I am what the Left hates more than an ultra-rigtie: I can and do think for myself.

I do agree that those Righties and Confederate sympathisers have every right to protest and to make known their views. I suspect the Charlottesville Government pulled a few stunts to shut down that rally only because it did not agree with the sponsors and sought to silence them. The majority of the sponsors of that rally represent vile and despicable organisations, but, they do have the right to preach their hate and ignorance just as much as do Farrakhan and BLM.

At the same time, Google has the right to do business with whom it chooses.

what a bunch of idiots. Have anyone of you ever even read the first amendment? It has nothing to do with hate speech, it is the step that leads to the second amendment because if the current government won't listen to the first you have the second amendment to back up your talk with firepower. How anyone thinks that has anything to do with protecting the KKK or Nation of Islam's hate speech makes no sense.
