Has anyone heard anything about the alleged apple TV screen in development?

Have a friend who is working for a contractor that's helping Apple design the new screen for the Iphone 8, and he mentioned that they got to sneak a peak at the Apple "iscreen". A tv set that apparently has been in development for the past 8 years. It won't come with a remote control as it will rely mostly on Siri and a retina tracking feature to control it, but you will be able to upload an app to your device to use as a surrogate control. You will be able to program recordings by either Commanding Siri to do so in front of the TV, or anywhere on your mobile device once it has been synced.

Apple home theater is OLD NEWS - you can go and buy one at the store today (and it will play games as well).

I've heard this rumor for over ten years. I have never seen anything that would prove it's actually being made. Apple isn't going to waste it's time with something as mundane as a tv set. Apple's Apple "tv" streaming unit bombed in sales, so that alone will probably discourage them from wading into the television business.
