He doesn't have a strong accent. Its just that he has a very unusual speech pattern. His family is from Richmond and he grew up around it. Northern Virginia has an accent too- its kind of a vaguely tidewater accent mixed with Californian.

Its the best they can come up with. For years people say Meade is faking an accent or talk about his accent? Wow, missing the bigger picture much? Accent Schmackcent. Meade is a hit songwriter with several great tunes under his belt. He was featured in a blog called death and taxes, a featured extra in A Hollywood movie, and he is the toast of Richmond. If the best people can come up with is his accent is weird, well that is just pretty lame and sorry if you ask me.

The reason people still bring up the five-year-old "Death and Taxes" blog is that it really is the only sort of decent write-up ever about Meade.

His appearance as an UNCREDITED EXTRA(which IS far different than a "featured extra") in a movie that tanked with the critics and never got a wide release, is hardly a sign of a promising career in film.

He is still considered a featured extra because his identity and face is recognizeable on camera- for more than just a few seconds. So largely, that is considered a featured extra. One doesn't need a speaking part.
His song "sweet tea" was praised by Style weekly and considered one of the top song releases in 2014. People act as if he hasn't done a darn thing, and thats not true.

He has worked as a sign dancer, AND produced literally hundreds of YouTube videos.

(They are not in evidence, as eesh keeps making him shut them down.)

If this were 2006, his videos would probably be the laughing stock of the internet, but there are so many retards on streaming media now, he gets lost in the sea of stupidity.

I mean, he's not the type to go full retard and gun down the congregation, but I could see him staging a sit-in protest outside of his church because they're letting the queers in, and this would garner some media attention, which would then draw a wider audience to his videos...
