Meade’s family is supposedly from colonial virginia so i’m guessing he’s a mix of mostly English, Scotch-Irish, German, and French. The indians didn’t exist for very long after the settlers started coming in waves so it’s really unlikely you’d have indian ancestors if your family’s been this far east the whole time. People who did mix with the indians back then tended to get chased out west to the frontier. They literally weren’t tolerated in the colonies.

I had to live through the exact opposite. Thought I was pure Aryan. Did one of those tests, and it turned out I got a little nigger blood and about a quarter native blood. FML.

It wasn't all that uncommon for people to claim Native American heritage well into the 20th century to explain their dark colorations, when the truth was they were actually mulattoes.

Even the untrained eye can clearly recognize Negroid features in photos of Meade's mother.

What'd really be interesting would be Meade's reaction on finding out the truth of his heritage.

23ANDME is not always accurate for a few reasons. Some times the testing only traces the maternal lines of the maternal side of the family. Testing for Native American heritage is harder than other groups because they have far fewer samples to test from. Some people who are even tribal members have gotten little to zero traces of NA in their DNA. So if you come from a more obscure tribe- say Delaware or in Meade's case, Patawomeck, its not as likely you will find results. Especially if the Indian ancestor is far enough back on the family tree. Virgina's rich history and geneological records are actually probably more accurate than $100 DNA test that is used for entertainment purposes.

His mom definitely looks part Cherokee or something. Or Alpine Northern European mixed.But not Negro.

Meade is 100% White Christian Gentleman. A true American classic.

Unless meade has relatives from out west, the chances of a “native Virginian” descending from an Apache indian is probably close to zero. The apache tribes lived about 2,000 miles from here and weren’t even really related to the Algonquin indians here in the east.

Virginia has Cherokee, and Powhatan. Algonquin is further north.

Powahatans were Algonquin-speaking indians, and the Cherokee lands were located further south of VA.

That being said, their weren’t any friggin Apaches around here.
