These movie directors know that if gerrys kind are casted as leading roles the movie would flop. Lolz!

Strange as it may sound there is a historical basis for the complaint.
In World War 1 the French used a large number of native Colonial troops on the western front. Senegalese troops and troops from North Africa were considered the shock troops of the French army. At the start of WW2 the French brought a number of Colonial troops to France. German commanders including Rommel said the Colonial troops fought extraordinarily well in the German 1940 invasion. A number of these French Colonial troops were present at Dunkirk and there are pictures of some French Colonial troops among the evacuees. These appear to be troops from North Africa.
I am not aware of any Senegalese troops at Dunkirk. Some were further south and a few who were captured were executed by the Nazis. There may have been black civilian laborers in Dunkirk.
