No, it's not. That's the same stupid libtard trick that you idiots try to use for everything from guns to climate change which lets you cherry pick what you consider 'major developed economic power.' And none of them have 325 million people more than half of which contribute squat to tax revenues. Most of the European countries that you like to point to now are having to cut back on health care and other social programs because of the growing cost and influx of non-productive people at the lower end.
Health care only works in this country because private business covers +70% of people. Using a rough general average of per capita healthcare spending by the same countries that you like to point to of around $5,000 each/year, with 321 million people the cost to us would be in the range of $1.6 trillion. Using our per capita cost (no, which isn't higher just because of our system) of around $8,000 each it would be $2.6 trillion. On a relative basis for comparison, total federal tax receipts for 2016 were $3.3 trillion. Total outlays for the entire government were $3.95 trillion.
Fuck, we can't even afford the Medicare and Medicaid programs that we have now. lol
