Trump's Coal Wall
Posted by: build it now ()
Date: June 22, 2017 10:41AM

What i don't get is if we're trying to jumpstart the American coal industry why not build the wall out of coal? That way we have Mexico basically paying money right into our coal industries and creating real jobs, and since it's for construction use and not burning, the libcucks won't be crying about pollution and "global warming". Think about it, it would take millions of tons to put up Trump's coal wall and that would create a shitload of jobs and deliver on the capaign promise to stop illegals coming in. And libtards would be happy since it's non polluting. this would be a real win for everybody.

Coal is the most polluting in the US. That's why nobody wants it any more. Even the miners that dig the coal can't stand their jobs.

Why do you think alcoholism and meth are such a problem in coal towns? Because the coal mines don't pay shit and dying of black lung diseases isn't cheap.

Most all coal miners are unionized and relatively well paid. And there are lots of people who want/need it since, even after some displacement by cheap nat gas mostly from that evil fracking not "renewables" or solar, it still provides about 40% of electric power generated.

China and Europe are investing heavily into renewable sources like wind and solar. Shit that lasts and over time pays for itself. Meanwhile Trump is taking America backwards to coal.

So when China and Europe are laughing at the US for missing the boat on renewable clean energy we can all point fingers at conservatives and Trump.

You're just making yourself look more stupid now. lol

China uses far more coal than we do. Currently near 90% of its electric power generation is from coal and it will be a higher percentage of their use even after their 'heavily investing' in other sources. They are in fact adding coal-based capacity and recently hit a new high for coal-fueled electricity production. Most of their "heavily investing" is in the form of products to be sold to the RoW.

i'm totally serious, they spend all their food stamps on cases of soda then trade it for drugs, sometimes right out in the parking lot. it's almost like a secret currency, i guess cause everybody drinks soda and it doesn't go bad in cans. they showed this one guy , he went in and bought 12 cases of pepsi then went out to some guy in a van and traded it all for oxycontin and some kind of horse tranquilizer. it was eye opening.

Great point Libtard, did you consider that is due to the fact that they lost their jobs?

You can always count on FFXU to give you wrong information:

Generating capacity by source in China (excluding Hong Kong) as of 2016

Coal: 943 GW (57.2%)
Thermal, natural gas, bio-mass: 114 GW (6.9%)
Hydro: 332 GW (20.1%)
Wind: 149 GW (9.0%)
Solar: 77 GW (4.7%)
Nuclear: 34 GW (2.1%)

Yeah because losing your job is really an acceptable excuse for abusing SNAP so you can shoot animal tranquilizer into your veins. Probably Obama's fault too!

You can always count on FFXUtards to think that they're smarter than they are and that they can just Google up things that they don't really understand.

That's capacity not actual generation by source. Capacity is only used at some percentage of that capacity. e.g., a hydro plant may have equipment which can produce N GW of power but only it runs in a generating mode during the day and pumps-and-stores water at night, only reaches full capacity during certain seasonal times, etc. Solar only works during the day. Wind only works when the wind is blowing. Etc.

Do some research pajama boy. Solar panels and turbines have a life expectancy of less than 20 years, renewable developers establish inadequate retirement funds for the equipment which results in abandoned rusting equipment and toxic waste from non functioning solar panels. In the meantime, the amount of variable renewable power will result in an electric grid with too much power on hot sunny days and too little base load to power homes in the winter and on cloudy days.

Turbines has the same life expectancy whether they are used for hydro, nuclear, coal or wind.

Wind is just free.

Now back to the coal wall. Couldn't illegals just burn the coal wall down pretty easy.

That's what I was thinking too, if i was some south Texas rancher the last thing i'd want on my property was a giant pile of flammable material stretching for miles in either direction. imagine the catastrophe that could happen if that thing got ignited.

That would be false. All turbines obviously are not the same nor built for the same purpose/duty cycle.

Wind may be free. Producing electricity from it and moving that power from where it's generated to a point of use and building/financing/maintaining all of that definitely is not free.

i agree, they could use water from the rio grande and colorado rivers to keep the dust down while they build it then pool it in reservoirs in case it caught on fire. coal is harder to burn anyway, it's not like paper or gas, coal has a high flashpoint because it's basically a rock. it'd be an intimadating way to keep the mexicans out.

Coal burns much hotter than wood and is harder to extinguish. It's not "just a rock".

And as far as pooling water out there in the middle of the desert, good luck with that idea. The entire Colorado river dries up out there, so you might need to find a different source of water in case your pile of coal catches fire.

So let it burn. See if they can get over it then. lol

We'll continually replenish it from coal country and create a boom there too.

you could just use the rivers to hose off the coal when it gets hot, you wouldnt need to pool it per say. just put hoses and timers and make sure the needed parts get wet, like in irrigation. it wouldn't be hard. coal don't burn when it's wet, everyone knows that. that's why it don't burn when it's underground, there's already residual moisture in the soil.

Yeah but that coal fire is underground where no one can reach it, so it's not a fair comparison. They even purposely sealed it off to remove the oxygen, so now there's no way to even get down there to put it out. They wouldn't happen above ground.

Besides being flammable, coal isn't strong enough for construction use either. Coal is brittle and the strength-to-weight ratio is alot lower than that of concrete, which is also much cheaper and more abundant. The whole idea is trumptard stupidity.

People could easily climb over that pile. We need a vertical barrier, not just a big hill.
