I don't support Trump but can't argue with the strike on Syria or the use of the MOAB on an isolated target. The death toll isn't as important as the message it sends, not only to ISIS but to the world. North Korea's decision not to go forward with its nuke test may have been influenced by this.
The only way to deal with these fuckers is to punch them in the nose. Bloody them up first then bring in the Diplomats. Talk softly and carry a big stick.

It doesn't matter what the bombs cost. The money was already spent to build it. It's either use them or decommission them at some point. Given only one has been used since 2003, I doubt any new ones will be built to replaced the one used.

does anyone remember the History Channel show where they reviewed how the "Bunker Buster" bombs were made ?
they took (several) normal bombs and refitted them to be tougher so they'd penetrate soil and concrete much further than normal (tougher steal heads, heavier)
cost? labor ($$) and some typical shop materials
they weren't a line product and didn't have a multi-million dollar price tag
