My main axe is a Yamaha 2000SBG and I use a Walnut and wicker Mesa Boogie Mark IIB. I do not gig anymore so I sold all my road gear.

Sweet. I never gigged but have been playing for a long time. Have collected a ton of gear over the years. Some GREAT music comes out of the DC area. Plenty to see and hear.

I once ask Chuck if we could sing one of his songs in a different key during a rehearsal, he told me straight out to get fucked. He said he was around when the Stones were singing for dimes.
He wasn't perfect, but he was the greatest of the rockers from the 50s, and he remained relevant for a very long time. The video stuff at his restaurant was way overblown.
I sort of met him but not really. I went to school in St. Louis in the late 70s and used to eat breakfast at a diner called the Parkmoor or Parkway or something like that. Berry used to eat his breakfast there a lot, so I'd see him fairly regularly. Somebody told me that it wasn't a good idea to try to speak to him, so I never did. Good looking guy though. Fit and healthy looking.
