The stimulus to recover the economy after Bush had to happened. Bush had the US economy in a free fall.

Wrong. The $1 trillion number is *not* Federal spending. It's the total counting private-sector contributions. The Federal component is more in the range of $200 billion in the form of tax credits. Taxes captured from repatriation also may contribute. Neither comes from "our taxes."
