So I get Trump won and libtards all suck. Im at peace with that narrative. But why pollute our environment? I understand there is less money to be made if we do not release pollution into the environment but dont we all want clean rivers, clean air? How does it help 'miners' to allow strip mining operations to release deadly heavy metals, and carcinogenic chemicals and elements into the places they live?
No need to explain anything. Conservatives won't believe the science no matter how you present it to them. They cannot be bothered by facts, and cannot abide by anyone telling them how to live their lives in order to mitigate the damage done to the planet. It's already too late anyways. The planet is fucked, we are fucked, might as well fuel up your jeep, drive around, dump your trash out in the woods and burn tires.

Interesting that you said Walmart. I think Walmart is the business that utilizes the most solar power now for its business needs. That's how cheap solar has become for their bottom line. They're lining their roofs with panels.

China is polluting like a mother f'er, Russia too. America will go broke trying to stop polluting and it still won't put a dent in the world's total pollution.
Conservatives don't understand pollution unless THEIR water is poisoned and running brown from the tap. When that happened they blame democrats for not putting better pollution controls in place.
It's the old, who cares, doesn't directly effect me and I want more money.

What are you referring to? Of course we want to conserve our environment. We are CONSERVATIVES. Who wouldn't want clean air and clean water? Anything other than that is just liberal propaganda.
You know why Pennsylvania went Republican? Pollution and natural gas drilling left unregulated by the Obama administration.
Runoff from strip mines is controlled by BMP's and is treated before being released into streams. The problem is that this should only be controlled at the state level and not mandated by the Federal Government. That is the problem.
Libtards politicians bitch about pollution yet own stock in Tobacco companies, example is Sen Al Franken. What's worse than tobacco that is proved to cause cancer?

The topic of political hypocrisy is certainly covered elsewhere. This thread is about pollution and its regulations. If I understand the OP he is trying to square the near universal acceptance of Trump's deregulation among conservatives and the potential impact on clean air and water. The simple answer is money. Political donations now come in large chunks from coal and oil industries. More regulation means less profit in the short term so the regulations have to go.
The fact that voters seem okay with this is somewhat confusing as the costs of illnesses caused by pollution fall mostly on them. Why would they vote to make themselves and family sick so companies could have more profit?

That's the point my intellectually challenged fellow Henrico Virginian. It speaks to the competitiveness of solar power now.

Fellow Henrico Virginian? Please jump off the Varina-Enon Bridge.

This is not your country. This is the USA. The federal government does not have jurisdiction over local waters. It's in the constitution.
Why do democrat controlled cities poison the public?
